I didn't care for the area for a couple reasons. One being it's not as big as I thought it'd be. The other, being that it's another "park" area for the homes that surround it. There's absolutely no parking. We parked on a street at the middle entrance; which runs along someone's home and then carries you down behind.... it's a stone path and then sidewalk that runs left to right... from one side of neighborhood to another... and then there's a nice big sign area and dirt path that leads to trails in the small wooded area. There's a view of a creek alongside the back of the trails, but it's limited. There's no real access to the creek.... and the trails are really just a couple small loops. There were 2...

This trail is a wonderful spot for a relaxing walk in the woods. The path is well-marked and easy to navigate, making it perfect for casual hikers, families, and anyone looking to enjoy nature without a strenuous trek. The peaceful surroundings and fresh air make it a great escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

However, there are several broken-down trees along the trail that could use some cleanup. While they don’t make the trail impassable, they do take away from the overall experience. If the city could clear them out, it would make this already enjoyable trail even better.

Overall, it’s a great place for a simple, scenic walk, and with a little maintenance, it could be even...

This is a great little piece of nature, right inside city limits. It's a wonderful place to take the kids when they need to run off some energy. It's a system of dirt trails that enter off a paved trail, so there isn't easy parking. There are some plaques around that offer nature facts. As the park is about preserving nature, it has no restrooms, and nothing with wheels is allowed inside the park. One side of the park borders the creek, which is particularly fun to see after a big rain.

Remember to wear bug repellant, and be prepared for mud. Also, watch for snakes in season. They'll mostly stay away from you, but try not to make them...

We enjoy walking the trail in the evenings to take in the beauty of nature. On this particular day while we were walking we spotted a copperhead snake crossing from one side of the trail to the other. We were fortunate to see it in time otherwise, we might have stepped right on it. It is a good reminder to stay aware of our surroundings while walking, even during daylight hours.

Compared to other trails in N. Dallas area I have been to, this one is not the best; however, this is a perfect choice if the day you chose to go for a trail walk is blistering hot. The reason is the trails here are covered with thick canopy of trees and are 100% shady so they stay much cooler.
