🎉 Birthday Bliss at Little Persia – A Flavorful Persian Feast! 🇮🇷🍢
We headed out today to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and he was definitely in the mood for Persian food! 🥳 For weeks, we’d been eyeing Little Persia, but every time we Googled it, it was closed on Mondays. Lucky for us—it’s Tuesday! So off we went, excited and hungry.
👀 First Impressions The restaurant is cozy and intimate, with a warm, welcoming vibe. There was just one server working, but she greeted us with a genuine smile 😊 and patiently walked us through the most popular dishes. Her recommendations were spot-on!
🍗 What We Ordered We went with:
• Chicken Kabobs with Saffron Rice 🍗🍚 • Beef Koobideh (Minced Meat Kabobs) 🐄🔥 • Saffron Drink 🌼🥤 • Shikanjabin (Mint & Vinegar Drink) 🌿🍹
Let me just say—the chicken kabobs were phenomenal! So tender, juicy, and perfectly grilled. My son, who can be picky about chicken, was thrilled. He even said, “10 out of 10!” 😘 We suspect they used onion water in the marinade, which made the chicken melt-in-your-mouth smooth. 👏
The beef koobideh was a hit with me and my little daughter. She’s a beef lover, and I’m a meat person too, so we were in heaven. The seasoning was just right, and the texture was spot-on—rich, savory, and satisfying. 🍴💕
🥤 Drinks The saffron drink was a bit sweet for our taste, but the server had already mentioned that, so no surprises there. It was still refreshing. But the real star? The Shikanjabin! A unique blend of mint, vinegar, and other flavors—it was tangy, cool, and absolutely delicious. I’d go back just for that drink! 🌟
💰 Price Point Prices were a bit higher compared to other Persian spots we’ve tried, but honestly, the quality and experience made it worth it. You can tell they put love into their food.
🎈 Final Thoughts Little Persia is a hidden gem for Persian cuisine lovers. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just craving kabobs, this place delivers flavor, warmth, and a memorable experience. We’ll definitely be back—and next time, we’re trying...
Read moreAs a brand new spot, this place shows a lot of potential, and I'm really rooting for them to succeed. There were a few quirks, but their friendly service and eagerness to please made up for it.
The presentation was interesting – they served pita bread with raw basil, spring onions, and cheese. We were a bit thrown off at first since we expected some kind of dip for the bread. But hey, points for creativity!
For our main, we got the Chicken Kabab. It came with a big portion of rice, roasted tomatoes, and peppers. The chicken was tasty, but could be a bit spicy. The rice could've used some more seasoning, and the grilled tomatoes were big and got a little mushy when cutting into them. The $22 price tag for the kabab felt a tad steep. What really saved the experience was our awesome waiter. They were a bit late in getting our falafels and kindly brought out hummus and yogurt dip, which was good.
All in all, there's room for improvement, but the warm hospitality and willingness to accommodate stood out. With some tweaks, this place could be a real gem. I'm excited to see how they grow and refine...
Read moreThis place is DELICIOUS! I seriously can’t fathom that anyone could leave a review less than 5-stars. I never like going out for kabobs just because I’ve grown up eating them so much but this place genuinely has the best and juiciest kabobs I’ve ever had! Portions are CRAZY! And when you order to-go, you get the same generous portions as you do when you dine-in which is usually never the case.
Have also had their kashk-o-bademjan and I could bathe in their whey drizzle, so yummy, lol. They also bring out a complementary traditional bread plate with feta, walnuts and sabsi which is the perfect tease to get you excited for your meal!
The woman who runs the place could not be more lovely, she is truly superwoman! When we went the other night it was so packed but she tended to everyone with great care and efficiency! Such a kind woman!
My only complaint… as a Palestinian it breaks my heart to see boycotted Pepsi/Coke products sold and drank. Would mean the world if they could switch to H-E-B or Kroger soda alternatives! They taste extremely identical and are more ethical. Besides that,...
