Shore Antique Center — Attraction in Allenhurst

I have lived in the shore for 10 years. This used to be one of my favorite stores. But lately I am liking it a little less :/ I came in today and pretty much everything I like didn’t have a price. I inquired about a porcelain piece and they were nice enough to call the seller. I bought that. But then I liked something inside the glass show case. That didn’t have a price either. I was considering it to be a nice gift to my sister for her birthday and they lady behind the counter says “well, it’s sterling silver. So, It’s not going to be cheap”. I looked at her and reply “I wasn’t looking for cheap”. History is priceless so I wasn’t expecting it to be cheap. Not sure why she felt the need...

As a customer who has frequented Shore Antique Center, I have enjoyed exploring the very wide, literally far-reaching collection of antiques and design intrigue. What's great is that it always solves my needs and searches, whether I'm seeking something specific or going in to be inspired. Most of the vendors are excellent and willing to please. As an antique book lover however, I found that the book vendor was one of the worst I have ever dealt with. Most of the books were in horrid condition, strewn here and there. The worst part? They are priced very high. The cherry on top? The vendor is uncompromising in price, preferring not to sell for even a dollar less from the listed price, even when the owner of the antique center begged her. I doubt she will...
