This will be a new favorite spot.

I recall the old restaurant that was in the location as an enjoyable, budget friendly spot with average food but still a good overall venue to frequent. This new business is much different for some good reasons!

The food:

I have come to this location many times already and so far everything I’ve had was excellent. They’ve perfected fun and creative dishes with good presentation and great flavor. Although I’ve been here about three times I feel that the food has consistently met or exceeded my expectations!! I haven’t had a bad item off this menu yet. I wish the menu was slightly bigger, however this restaurant debuted during a pandemic which is difficult to succeed in, so I would imagine the menu would expand in the future as things turn back to normal. They also have a very fun and creative cocktail menu and I was pleasantly surprised with the variety of drinks and their unique spin offs of some classic cocktails.

The Vibe:

This restaurant is fortunate to have an incredible location and they have taken great advantage of it! I have found (even during the pandemic) that this restaurant draws a large variety of individuals of different age ranges, contributing to a fun and welcoming atmosphere.

Starting with the exterior, when the weather is nice, this is the place to go. Toting a waterfront patio and smaller outdoor bar, the limited seating at the bar is made up for with ample table seating in the patio, providing both water views as well as views of the bar side TV’s showing relevant sports and other content. The patio is lined with favorable mood lighting for twilight dining and is also surrounded with speakers to set the tone.

Moving inside, if you were ever at the previous restaurant you would be pleasantly surprised with the renovations. They eliminated unnecessary walls providing a large open space feel. There are two bars inside, a very large centralized bar with many TV’s and impressive seating as well as a secondary bar which is quite sizable. All bars appeared to have a large variety of spirits and taps to keep your glasses full. The indoor dining mixes it up from high tops to more traditional seating and booths and personally I feel this restaurant can accommodate almost everyone’s preferences.

The service:

I have to applaud the service. Amidst a worsening pandemic, the owners have managed to higher a great staff that are tentative, friendly and professional. In my most recent visit, multiple waitresses offered service at our table to keep our beer glasses full and tables cleaned. Also the food (4 person party) arrived impressively fast considering the restaurant appeared close to capacity, given the pandemic restrictions. Each time I visited, the staff was accommodating to seating preferences and I had nothing but pleasant experiences.

Overall, I give this restaurant 5 of 5 stars because opening a restaurant during a pandemic is a difficult task and I applaud the result of their efforts and every experience so far was enjoyable. I certainly intend to frequent this business...

I don’t usually write reviews but my wife and I had such an enjoyable experience I must give credit where credit is due. Last Saturday night my wife and I decided to go to Deal Lake bar and co. for a cocktail and a bite to eat. We decided to sit at the bar instead of opting for a table, because sitting at the bar tends to be a bit more fun and fortunately for us we were right. We had the pleasure of being served by a wonderful gentleman by the name of James. He greeted us with a warm smile and friendly disposition, and started us off with a cocktail right away. I asked him to recommend a bourbon for myself and a cocktail for my wife. He was quick to recommend Angels Envy for me because it was aged in port wine barrels which comes with an added sweetness and made an Espolon and lemonade for my wife which came to be exactly what she was looking for. For our food I ordered the Nashville hot honey sandwich per our bartender’s recommendation and my wife had the brie wagyu burger both were very good and hit the spot. The food was good the drinks were great but the real star of the show was our bartender James. His quick wit and sense of humor were legendary. He also was an absolute professional behind the bar. He kept us laughing and our drinks full all while simultaneously entertaining multiple guests and serving them food and drink as well . I must admit we weren’t expecting our night out to be so enjoyable and entertaining, but we had an absolutely fabulous time, our faces hurt from laughing at the end of the evening. I definitely recommend sitting at the bar and asking for James, he’s an extremely knowledgeable bartender with a keen sense of humor who will have you laughing in no time. Whether you just want a delicious craft cocktail and a hilarious story, or you’re just looking for a beer and a smile he is the guy you must go...

This restaurant is in a new building and consists of one large room, nicely decorated, with two bars, booths and tables. What we did not know before we went is that this is a sports bar and that is Sports with a capital "S". There were at least two TVs showing athletic games, fairly typical, but the soundtrack for one game was broadcast throughout the restaurant at a very loud volume. On the way out we experienced speakers even in the bathrooms.

Seeking a little peace and quiet we went out onto the patio only to discover the TV sound blasting even there. Since we could not see the game even if we wanted to, the booming speakers were nothing but noise. On the map you observe the location is between two bodies of water but these are barely visible when seated on the patio; there is a conspicuous busy street next to the patio.

To access the draft beer menu it is necessary to use a QR code - this is something I always find annoying. When you do get to the draft beer menu there are no prices - now this is someting I really hate. There is no way to preview your bill before paying. The server comes with a portable credit card reader which displays only the total, and printed receipts are not available. When we got home and looked at our receipt received via text we discovered we had been charged a surcharge for using a credit card.

I'm sorry but this is just not my kind of place. Maybe I am...

The service at the bar and tables has never been an issue for me, even during the summer season. There's an outdoor patio with umbrellas at the tables for those days when the sun is blazing. It's nice to even grab a cocktail/mocktail and just relax outside for a bit. There are plenty of TVs inside where games are always on. They try to accommodate everyone, so if you don't see your sport/game on, don't feel shy asking for it to be put on. I've only had the Impossible burger, shishito peppers(no sauce), and Brussel sprouts(well done). I cannot comment on any other food items. VEGAN NOTE: I always get the vegan Impossible burger with peanut butter. Sounds weird, and I was skeptical at first, but I haven't ordered it without peanut butter since I've tried it. The bun is gluten-free and will fall apart easily. You might think it's stale, but it's just how G.F. bread is. GLUTEN-FREE NOTE: You can ask for a gluten-free bun with any sandwich, but there might be an additional cost.

Great location for catching the game or sitting outdoors and having a drink. Nice size bar areas with plenty of seats. My kids were the only ones there so I guess everybody already knows what I didn't (not having been here before) but not a good place for kids. The drinks we had were very good (sangria, cocktails) so on to the food - sigh -the pretzel was good, but they only give you two dipping sauces which I thought tasted the same, no mustard sauce. the drunken chicken parm sandwich was a huge piece of semolina bread with an overcooked chicken tender. The burger was very small and perfectly round so I think it has to be frozen. The quesadilla was good. The corned beef Reuben tasted good but the way they pull the meat apart doesn't allow you to eat it as a sandwich. You can't bite through the meat so you end up pulling it all out of the sandwich. So knife and fork it is. I think this is one and done for me.
