My fiancé and I went to the Gardens on Monday to take a walk around for a ceremony that we’re planning in a week. It’s not like it used to be. I was very disappointed. The roses are very minimal and they’re very low, not the 5 foot rose bushes that you would have seen 5 years ago. These are actual starter bushes that I would had in my front yard. Also, we saw cigarette butts on the ground, whom ever the care taker is.. he’s not taking care of it. The gazebos are not well-maintained the paint is chipping off the pillars and the roof shingles are displayed and falling off. It’s a shame because at one time this was a beautiful place. I remember in the late 80s and early 90s everyone would run to the Rose Garden had their wedding photos taken. Too bad. It’s one place in Allentown that you count on to remain the same as it was. Mind you, it’s still a nice place to visit..and get married if you didn’t know what it was. The city really needs to go out there...
Read moreMay 23, 2022 I was fortunate to marry the most beautiful Woman in the absolutely perfect place the Allentown Rose Gardens. Roses you must know are my wife's absolute favorite flower, and the Allentown Rose Garden was our second date 3 years earlier. The beauty of the garden park and waterway was just the perfect companion to our wedding. None of the 30 Family members and Friends had ever been there before and all were in awe at the beauty. The crazy thing that none could believe was that the venue was free. Yes I said free, and absolutely BEAUTIFUL. In this world of everything has a cost it is so refreshing to see a community take such pride in one of its venues like Allentown doe with the Allentown Rose Gardens. If you are looking for an Amazing outdoor venue with fantastic backdrops and the smell of roses in the air, then tho...
Read moreAllentown Rose Gardens, Allentown PA - As Ministers/ Wedding Officiants at Kimberlys Blessings, we have celebrated Many weddings at this lovely place. We have found the grounds to be beautiful, with very nice, older stone Gazebos.
+The Gardens are seasonally more colorful in Spring and Summer, but also very popular on Weekends.
It is first come/ first serve to use the Gazebo and walkways for your Ceremonies/ Celebrations, so keep that in mind. (On a busy weekend there might be 3 or 4 Ceremonies taking place, each day.) Sometimes you may have to wait, for the previous group to finish.
Highly recommended. The beauty of all the roses in bloom, is spectacular! Let us know if you have any questions about Your wedding and this Memorable place for Weddings or Elopements, or if we can be of...
