Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Altoona Pennsylvania is my parish home. I began my journey of faith at St. Leo's in the 5th Ward as it was my husband's parish. Not too long after my husband and I parted, I chose the Cathedral to continue. I was welcomed by the faith community with open arms and invitation to become more active in parish activities. My family and I were driving through PA on our way to SC three summers ago. I said a little prayer hoping to find a place to go to mass come Sunday and boy... did the good LORD DELIVER!!! We were driving through Altoona when around the corner, boom! The most beautiful cathedral. It’s stayed in my memory ever since. So three years later writing a review. This is a beautiful church. The only Catholic church that offers mass on Sunday evening at 5 pm. My family and I are proudly showing up every Sunday and I can happily say, every week it's more crowded. More people show up every week.
