Really looked forward to trying this place on my second trip through Altoona. The beers we had were tasty, the gyro was very good , its pita (naan) was fresh and hot and though the meat was a touch dry the sauce, cheese and fresh veggies more than made for a great sandwich. The chili Mac n cheese arrived without the chili and the cheese sauce was thin and uninspired. We didn't decide to complain about the lack of chili as the gentleman behind the bar, who was very grumpy seemed overwhelmed. He was very short and seemed annoyed at any questions we asked. Given we had never been there, they had an extensive list and a lot of beers kicked and unavailable, we wanted to get some insight as to the available beers and and suggestions, he was having none of it. We closed our tab and moved on, I'm not sure if the bartender was an owner or just an employee but the service deterred is from wanting to stay and try more of...

Oh, succulent delight, the hot dog supreme, A savory creation, a grill-seared dream. From humble origins, oh, how far you've come, A beloved classic, loved by all and some.

Wrapped in a fluffy bun, a perfect embrace, Tantalizing scents, that sizzling grace. With each bite, a symphony of flavors unfold, A burst of nostalgia, a taste that never grows old.

A symphony of toppings, choices galore, Relish, ketchup, mustard, or even more. Crisp onions, sauerkraut, or melted cheese, A medley of textures, a palate to please.

From street carts to ballparks, you hold your reign, Portable perfection, through happiness and pain. A comfort food, a shared joy, a common ground, Uniting friends and strangers, forever renowned.

So here's to the hot dog, a culinary delight, A simple pleasure that never loses its might. Forever etched in our taste bud's affection, Hot dogs, forever worthy of...

Stopped in to this place last night and it’s definitely a hidden gem in Altoona. Great location downtown with plenty of parking off street in front and in the parking lot out back. I had a “jacked rabbit” panini and the chili. The sandwich was interesting and tasty! I liked the fresh jalapeños they use over the pickled ones but I would add actual bacon over just bacon bits to give it a bang! (Not a bacon bits fan). The chili was VERY good and I liked the chickpeas and carrots!!!

To drink I had a Tangy guava beer and the orange flavor they had on tap!!!

So overall I felt that the menu has a simple bar feel and I want to come back to try a few things but I’ll def ask about the touches like bacon or any toppings in the future!!!

Friendly and...

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon after visiting a pick your own tulip farm nearby and got to watch fun talent show auditions. The space is beautiful and cozy with brick walls and light flooding in from the front and back. The staff were friendly and helpful and shared some great recommendations for other places to eat and sip (beer and coffee). The beers were excellent and the cocktails looked well made, although I stuck with a couple IPAs and a taster or 2. The food was also excellent although we only had pulled pork nachos and a hot dog. The nachos were excellent and the tortilla chips seemed house made with an interesting subtle sweetness. You should go if you’re nearby. I know I’ll be back!!
