UMass did not help at all with housing. I had to withdraw my senior year and not finish because all the freshmen took the housing and the off-campus housing department was basically useless. There was nothing affordable and kids were probably buying out doubles as singles, which made the housing even more scarce because the parents who pamper there kids buy out doubles for their kids so that they can have their own space. If I could have rated it with zero stars I would have because housing has ruined my college career and I have no chance of finishing my degree now....

The folks at housing were always very, very helpful and while you could not get them on the phone all the time (I am sure they don't have enough bodies to answer all calls all the time for a huge college like UMass) we always got through one way or another.
