Campus Pizza — Restaurant in Amherst

Ok. So I didn’t order the pizza but I opted in for wings. I asked them for Extra sauce on the wings. And I ordered the Buffalo, honey bbq & the Korean sticky. Umm so the wings are great size! Not small like other places. Good full sized wings. The Korean sticky, wasn’t spicy at all. Like it claimed to be. But had an “alright” taste.. not terrible. But not what I was expecting. The Honey BBQ, yeah. No thanks. That was the cheapest maybe even Kraft brand honey bbq sauce ever lol. And Kraft is the worst lol. And then the Buffalo wasn’t horrible. But wasn’t the best. There was more heat than flavor. Could use more flavor. But again the size of the wings were bigger than what u get at most places. So that’s a bonus. I asked for extra sauce on the wings of the flavors I requested and got wings BARELY covered in sauce lol. So that was a bummer & disappointment there, especially because I confirmed with the guy 4x over the phone about the extra sauce on the wings. And he assured me there would be. But then when asking for Blue cheese, most places especially in amherst, have their own “restaurant made” or “homemade style” blue cheese in 2-4oz cups with lids. This place does not!!. You get a small 2oz pre-packaged Kens brand blue cheese packet. & they only give you ONE for any size order of wings. Charge you extra $ for each additional you ask for. So yeah, NOT what I was expecting. I think my expectations for this place were higher because of the last owner of the pizza place that was in that spot, & how she had AWESOME really good quality food & it was always done very well. Not cheap. & she had good prices as well. I think this place definitely has potential to be even better than what they are right now. But as with all restaurants, they learn as they go. So hopefully they get some better quality sauces for their wings, and learn to make their blue cheese themselves or opt in for “restaurant style made” blue cheese & put it in little cups themselves. Anything but them packets they are handing out now.

EVEN THOUGH I didn’t order their pizza, I will say, during the few min I was there picking up my order I must have seen 6 diff types of pizza slices come up for peoples orders and THEY DID LOOK GOOD! But not everything that looks good, tastes good lol. So I doooo plan on trying their pizza at some point. Maybe not too soon (because of this expensive disappointing experience)...

So this review is mixed for me. I had the driest, most tasteless BLT of my life tonight. Dry cheap bread seemed almost stale? The kind they slice up at a cheap Italian restaurant for you to put butter on. No mayo? This BLT is like the Sahara desert and I can't seem to figure out what cheese this is (that i didnt ask for) it's round like provolone but it's giving off blue cheese vibes.... Onion rings were good, campus special pizza also seems kind of tasteless to me at times which is weird considering the toppings. Over all the cheese pizza has more flavor to me. Solid place to try, you might find something you like. I'll give my son the other half of this BLT cuz he'll...
