WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! Let's begin by saying that money is not an issue but after calling around they were the second most expensive. Anyways I decided to go to them because over the phone they guarantee that the part would be in the next day (around lunch) and that the repair itself would only take 30 minutes. They said they would only order the part if I paid half the price. They recommended that I pay half price over the phone so they can order the part and bring my phone once it came in but I couldn't do that because I'm 39 weeks pregnant and I work two jobs so I left home immediately after getting off the phone and drove there, an hour plus drive, just for them to tell me that they didn't know if they would open tomorrow because of the weather. I was already there so I paid the half-price and left my phone. I called them the next day to see if the part was in and they said it wasn't. THE WEATHER DID NOT GET BAD AT ALL! So the following day (which would be today) I called around 12 and the man told me that my phone would be ready at 3 so I went there after work and when I got there it was after 3. The woman was there alone and said that they had gotten really busy today but he had to step out for a bit. She went to the back and came back out front and told me my phone was apart and that he would return shortly, that she would give me a call when it was ready. I was not going to drive another trip up there so I went and sat in my car. He arrived less than 5 minutes later (I think he was inside the entire time cause I never heard another car pull up nearby) They told me my part was still not there but the delivery truck should be there in 30 minutes. I sat in the parking lot and fell asleep but while I was awake I never seen a delivery truck come. Before 4 they brought my phone outside repaired. So basically I feel like they were giving me a run around about MY PHONE when they could have told me from the beginning and I wouldnt have wasted my time. When I dropped my phone off I remember giving the girl 3 $20 bills because I did not have changed. I shouldve left when she gave me my phone outside but I believe in Karma so I told her I needed to pay the other half. I gave her another 3 $20 bills. I told her I needed $10 back and she said no the remainder is $55 so they got over on me for $5. At that point I didnt care because I was running late for my second job. Instantly after looking at my phone I felt like the screen may be tinted nothing looks the same, everything is dull. I didn't care because I wanted to purchase a new phone soon anyways. After further use I've noticed ripples in my screen. I feel like this will cause a problem in the long run so that's why I'm leaving such a lengthy review, because if and when its does I will be back for my money. Screenshots included circled rippling. Read moreComplete waste of time. Took my daughter Chromebook here to be fixed. He charged 40 to diagnose it and didn’t diagnose it. When I dropped it off he told me I’ll hear from him the following Monday. Monday came and went. So I went back on the next Friday. Which was a week later. I get there and he told me that he couldn’t do a diagnosis on it. But did say the battery was no good. Also said he’s not sure if he puts a battery in it that it’ll fix the problem. My problem is I can tell he didn’t even try to diagnose it seriously. He never called to tell me any diagnosis or anything. I called, no answer! I’m not even upset at all because when I talked to him before I left I felt like he couldn’t fix it. And HaHa I was right. I shouldn’t have left it but I did. And one thing for sure is that I will not be going back nor referring anyone to this establishment. It’s really a complete waste of time. I don’t like leaving not so great reviews but hey it is what it is. I wish this establishment the best. But they’ll never get my business nor anyone business I know. Update 10/10/24 took my Chromebook to mighty computers in Talladega and found out that my charger was good and it’s actually the motherboard of the Chromebook. The charger never was a problem that’s how I knew he didn’t diagnose it. Look people this man makes his money off the deposit you pay. Whether he does work or not he’s still making money. Don’t waste your money at this establishment because this man doesn’t know what he’s doing or better yet just doesn’t care. He’s very quick to respond to the reviews but he surely won’t call you and tell you anything about whatever it is you dropped off. I know it maybe a little ride but go to Mighty Computers in Talladega. No deposit and she will call you and tell you what’s exactly going on and if it’ll be more expensive to fix your stuff or just buy another. She’s very honest and is where I usually go. Dropped of Feb 6th, paid him that day as well. (Good price, I’ll give him that.) I call a few weeks later and ask for an update.. he states it’s not ready because he hasn’t got the parts in just yet.. okay fine no big deal. I call back on March 3rd and he’s obviously ANNOYED. States “he still doesn’t have the parts, but as soon as it’s ready HE WILL CALL ME” fast forward to March 25th I sent a Facebook message asking for an update/refund if he couldn’t get it done by the end of the week. No response. I call his shop, didn’t answer. I get my friend to call from her phone and he answers first ring, states it’s BEEN ready and we can pick it up.. why did he not call and tell me this after he was apparently irritated that I was calling to check up on my $500+ device that I dropped off with him and also paid $100 upfront to be fixed.. maybe I’m being dramatic but something seems fishy about the whole situation. Seems like he wanted me to forget I dropped it off there. Why didn’t he call me when it was ready?
