I wish I could've gave this museum 5 stars. However, some of the staff members are too unprofessional and don't respect veterans. I came to visit from out of state and was looking forward to taking my family here, but the lady at the front desk didn't make me feel welcomed (I had to greet her first even though I'm a customer). She kept giving strange faces when I asked questions about the museum. The most troubling thing is that she didn't even know the procedures with veterans. The museum is under the Blue Star Museum program which let veterans enter for free, like is the case with all museums listed under the Blue Star Museums program. She seemed like she wanted to argue when I mentioned it and said it'll be free Memorial day, which isn't the case whatsoever. She didn't even know how to put in a free admissions and asked a coworker how to do it that didn't even know how to do it as well. I'd hate to think that it was racial or biased behavior personally towards me since I've only experienced this level of ignorance while visiting this state which is a horrible experience.. I eventually paid for me and my whole family since it's obviously the staff members aren't aware of their...
Read moreI thought that the Museum of Natural History and the Berman Museum would be good for a quick walk-through on a hot day, but they were so much more. Not only were the museums considerably larger than I expected, but they both had much more depth to their collections and better quality displays than I would have anticipated. We enjoyed our visit very much and plan to return soon when we have enough time to tour the gardens in addition to the museums. I would strongly recommend Anniston Museums and Gardens to anyone who is interested in the world around them. And be sure to check the website before you go, because they have many interesting events that would be worth planning your...
Read moreOur Employee Owned Company, Farmers Home Furniture, recently held our Annual Pep Rally at Anniston Museum & Gardens. What an great place to hold a large gathering. They provided us with tables, chairs, table cloths, projector, a very large projection screen, sound system, kitchen, dining area, restrooms, and an amazing team of employees who went out of their way to assist as needed. The entire meeting area was very clean with great lighting. Our meeting room easily accommodated 85 people. They also allowed all of our attendees to tour the Museum! We are very grateful for the Anniston Museum and their awesome...
