Antioch Food Center — Attraction in Antioch

Would give 0 stars if possible. Walked in here today for two items. I only come here for 1-2 items as they are EXTREMELY OVERPRICED. After I purchased my items I went back into the store to look at their spices, but decided not to buy because they are so OVERPRICED. Walked out with receipt in hand, but threw it away once I walked out of the store. The Arabic guy at the “customer service” counter followed me outside and asked me “did you pay?” The nerve for you to follow me out of the store to my car to offend, and embarrass me, and then tell me to calm down in the parking lot. All of this for $4.85 that was PAID. I have never had to steal ANYTHING in my LIFE. Safe to say I will NOT be back to...

Some items are outrageously overpriced ! If you need something in a pickle and since it’s literally half a minute drive from my home I usually go there but pricing is just ridiculous . From yoghurt to veggies to dairy to everything in between . I’m not sure how these so called ethnic markets can have such outrageous price markups and get away with them . I know why they get away with it because the target customers of these traditionally Hispanic markets are Hispanic customers who obviously don’t care about getting charged double the price of everyday goods ! I had a very disappointing experience at this Western Union location. While completing my transaction, the employee counting my money did so partially under the counter, out of my sight. Then stated that $20 was missing.

I’m extremely upset and feel that this was dishonest and unprofessional behavior. Customers should be able to trust that their funds are handled transparently and in full view. I hope management reviews surveillance footage and takes appropriate action to ensure this doesn’t happen to anyone else.
