Dollar Tree — Attraction in Arcata

Dollar Tree store in Arcata, CA is always clean, looks attractive, well organized & fairly well stocked. I had a list of items to pick up at Dollar Tree. Most of what I was looking for was in stock. I've been waiting for the store to receive 3-4 specific items since Feb/Mar. I'm starting to wonder if they are ever going to get these items in.

Due to higher prices on any & all merchandise in every retail store, I understand why Dollar Tree changed their price from $1.00 per item to $1.25 per item. Paying an extra quarter per item has made me evaluate everything I place in my basket more closely than I used to.

I don't care for Dollar Tree's new policy of selling some items that cost more than $1.25. I liked being able to shop anywhere in the store & knowing the price of every single item. When shopping in any store, I find it extremely annoying to come across un-priced items. I very rarely purchase anything not priced. I have noticed some of Dollar Tree's higher priced items are not always clearly marked. When checking out I have to pay close attention to the price of each thing I'm buying.

I have found Dollar Tree batteries to be just as good as any other brand for a lot less money. Their Awesome spray cleaner works better on some things than the leading brands do. Sometimes they have a better variety of Seasonal decor than most other stores. I like some of their arts, crafts, office supplies, picture frames, inspirational signs & I always buy my wall & pocket calendars from Dollar...

This is second chance visit and total fail the store was dead. Maybe 5 people in store. We went to cashier and stood there. After awhile I asked if she was open. She said no go over there. We went to check out with no one there. While we were standing there she waved a man behind us to go through. It was blatant she diidnt want to wait on us. My husband felt is was prejudice against him and he got upset for good reason.finally a manager showed up to check us out and by that time I was ready to walk out but let the manager know we felt what she did was wrong. Well imagine...he stood behind his cashier said she was never a cashier before and it was her first day. He thought we were unreasable. Ok why put someone on the floor that has no clue what they are doing? He can do that and she can be as rude as she likes. We will never return. And due to the way she treated us I would say she would be happy we did...

These two lady’s named kim and cheri were being really rude to me and my friend, we were in the store buying some things like normal customers and they were talking amongst themselves saying that they wanted to open my friends backpack which she had on to see if she was stealing anything I understand that wearing a backpack is a little sketchy but we were certainly not stealing,we had money. We had also asked them if we could place our bikes inside the store since we didn’t bring a lock for them and they replied with a no because they wouldn’t be taking care of them, keep in mind that we didn’t ask them to take care of them. They gave us a face of disgust which was very disrespectful to me and my friend, we did not feel welcome. Maybe they were having a bad day but this shouldn’t be...
