A MUST TRY.
I am not a local, but this place does hearty, home style, american food with love. The young guy at the cashier working on saturday morning is fun and the food is phenomenal here. I highly recommend getting a donut (they are quite unique and have this delicious doughy, old fashioned donut flavored that you just donât find nowadays. The typical menu has a limited selection, but on their chalkboard they have a âsecret menuâ and many other food options there. If you enjoy meat, I would highly recommend the country fried steak, itâs insanely tender and is smothered in hearty gravy (that had bits of meat throughout). you get it with a large golden brown hash brown, 2 eggs and 2 slices of bread. They have many coffee options, and sell a variety of local items (such as honey) too. itâs a cool store, that offers both dine in and take out. The lines can pick up quick but this place will certainly have me day dreaming...
Read moreI just had breakfast here with my girlfriend, and we're both stuffed!
She got the Trainwreck Burrito vegan style with a vegan donut and I got the two-egg breakfast with a half order of biscuits and gravy and a side of sausage. I got my two-egg breakfast scrambled with white toast and hash browns.
We were both impressed by the portion sizes and the taste was AMAZING! We've been to a lot of breakfast places up here and this is BY FAR the best breakfast food we've had in a while. I had my favorite spot that I thought was good, but the second I had a bite of the biscuits and gravy I knew this place had them beat.
If you're looking for a place with a good breakfast menu that has some decent vegan options as well, this is your place to go to! They also have a lunch menu and mimosas, but we'll have to try those some other time!
Thanks McIntosh Country Store for such a great...
Read moreWhen I've ordered breakfast, it reminds me of how my grandma used to cook. Tasty, yummy, filling comfort food. I've had lunch there a few times. The deli style cold sandwiches are good. They can get busy durning lunch time. If you order a hot lunch and your pressed for time, you may have to eat fast. They do make good pastry's, pies, desserts & sweets.
The staff is friendly. Service is good but it seems like things would flow a lot smoother if they had 1 or 2 more employees during the breakfast & lunch rush. To sit down I've had to bus my own table a few times. I've had to wait longer than normal for someone to be available to take my order or for my food to arrive.
The amount of food you get is fair but the prices are on the higher side. Over all, the place appears to be clean, food is usually good, the wait time can be a little long & cost of some dishes & items are a...
