Valley West Shopping Center — Attraction in Arcata

There are some decent restaurant to eat at. It has one of the best dollars Tree's I have been to, moreover, there are several shopping options, hardware, Clothing, tobacco shop, and a grocery store. However, the grocery store is way over priced, and the store has some descrimitory practices and policy that are down right wrong, and there are may victims that fall pray to there war on the different. I stopped shopping there after fifteen year of being one of there most loyal customer. I fell prey to there descrimitory practices. The way I look at it is if you help the people that they think they need to get out of their town you to will be targeted. I have even had people say stop feeding the raccoons. The truth of the mater is these practices have felled, and We have more people in need everyday the drugs which you didn't see as much before their war on the poor and mentally ill. So when I was a kid this was a nice place to shop. It is still alright, but the fringes are littered with homeless that stand at all the stop signs with there cardboard signs. Across the street is McDonald's, ground zero for crazy buns using drugs in the restrooms. Several motels in close proximity, but it's been a long time since I've stayed over night in that area so I do not know about that. Two gas stations on opposing street corners, chevron and some other one. Also a diy car wash with vacuum stations as well as a full service stay in your car drive through car wash. Carls Jr., Round table, kebab cafe, subway, The Pantry family dining, radio shack, harbor freight hardware, oriental buffet, Ray's food place, the dollar tree. Around the corner is a coast central credit union branch and a liquor store. This is pretty much a one stop shop and get most all your other business done that you need to get done. The laundromat just closed down and there are a few vacant storefronts because the rents are outrageous here. There's a Ray's food place, a $1.25 plus store, a dispensary, Subway, Harbor Freight, Round Table Pizza, Carl's Jr. , check cashing/cash advance, mail salon, mideastern restaurant, peppers restaurant, a dojo, Mexican restaurant, smoke shop, and McDonald's across the street. Hotels within walking distance. Freeway access and 2 gas stations. Liquor store and a bank, China buffet, and tractor supply within one block. Several local coffee drive thru's as well. Veterinarian down the street as well as a tire shop, Napa Auto parts, Humboldt fasteners, mini storage, country store, glass house, and a few other businesses right there.
