My kids had a amazing time! They loved everything at the park. Only issues I had was we were getting food at 3:20pm. I walked over to the apple cider donut stand and asked when they closed because I was sure they closed before the rest of the park. I was told 5:30pm. We went to the apple cider donut stand at 5:18pm and was told there where no more donuts. I wish staff would have been a little clearer and explained that when they ran out closer to closing no more would be made. I'm not sure why they were still open if they didn't have anymore donuts. We had 5 upset children after telling them we would get them closer to leaving. We had to end up getting regular donuts on the way home to try and make up for it. We understood the $25 per person admission but don't quite understand why on top of that we had to pay $10 for parking. Prices are quite steep and definitely add up. $10 parking, $25 a person (we had 7), optional $6 (mini) or $8 pumpkins and not including the frozen over priced food. The hotdogs were red hot dogs, corn dogs were frozen state fair corndogs, chicken sandwich and tenders did not look like the menu pictures. We love to support businesses and want our kids to get the whole experience which is why we planned on eating there. We just wish everything was as pictured since we spent $60 on 2 hot dogs, 1 hot dogs without a bun, 2 corn dogs, a chicken tender combo, and a chicken sandwich combo with upgraded souvenir cups. I would bring your own food to have a picnic in the parking lot. If you want to go here and get the whole experience, be ready to spend some money and get your donuts early! We spent $255 without getting pumpkins. One of the workers that was putting on the harnesses at the rock climbing had an attitude with every single kid. Huffing, puffing, rolling eyes, snapping fingers in kids faces to get their attention and seemed to be making some of the kids nervous. Thankfully I told my daughter they seemed a little cranky so make sure to listen so she wouldn't be treated that way. The rest of the staff we encountered yesterday was friendly! One positive is Maize Adventure is easy to get to from 85, we traveled from 50 mins away and it's 2/3 mins from the exit. We are thinking of visiting another farm/attraction...
Read moreVisited yesterday with my hubby 12yo son and his friend. We purchased tickets online and were able to use a coupon and save money..whoo hoo. Upon arrival we knew parking cost and were prepared with it. No issues finding parking lot or being directed into parking space as there were multiple people helping with parking cars. Signage was great and we were able to find the correct place to enter with prepurchased tickets. We were in line and threw the front gate in a short amount of time. We took advantage of everything we could rode the slide, several times in a row, did the rock wall, rode train and wagon ride, corn maze, pumpkin patch, and enjoyed the snowballs as well. Our only issue was the tumbleweed food area. We placed our order for food and upon payment were given our drinks and ticket, number #31 for reference. By the time we recieved our food our drinks were beyond gone because it had been 45 mins from ordering to recieving food. Now the staff was great and working hard and very professional. i think maybe the system thats in place isnt a very proficient one because they werent able to keep up with orders. We recieved our food ate and did the corn maze train, wagon, pumkin patch, snowballs and went to restrooms b4 leaving and heard them call out number 50 and we saw tickets having numbers in 90s on them as passing by. I would suggest a menu cutback or a better system of getting food out at a faster rate to help with this issue. Other than the long food wait we had a great time and would recommend to others and come back, just will plan to eat...
Read moreMy family and I are fairly new to the area so when we saw advertisement for this place we thought oh how fun. First I do not believe there's enough for the 3 and under to charge full admission which leads me to my other issue there were maybe 2 or 3 things my 3 year could participate in. I understand safety but he was literally confined to corn pit, corn maze, train, or the bounce pad as long I held his hands and didnt let go which was no problem but all this boy could talk about all week leading up to our visit was about how he was going to ride the tractors and the giant slide, and the zip line. I wanted to love our experience but we probably won't be returning due to it just not being a full family experience.
Edited: When I purchased my tickets online there was no mention at the ticket checkout that 3yr olds didn't need a ticket. Maybe your attendants arent aware that 3 yr olds dont need tickets as well because as she scanned our tickets her response was 'perfect 4 tickets' and then proceed to give us 3 wristbands. $60 plus $10 parking is a very steep price for a family of four when the only one who kind of enjoyed it was the 7 year old but even then she wasn't able to go on the slide or ziplines because she could see how upset her brother was not being allowed to be included. Again we were all excited to visit but the experience was enough to encourage us to explore our options next year and take this...
