Brantley Hinshaw is deceptively big. While most of the action is at the front (e.g., playgrounds, splash pad, public restroom), there’s quite a bit more real estate to explore along the trail. Met a fellow basketball player named Kizzy at the outdoor courts and got some good use out of that amenity. It’s primed for some 5-on-5 pick-up games: half-court or full-court. Other than that, definitely hit the paved trail and get your steps in. There’s a large telephone line that cuts through the park, but that’s what makes it memorable. The poles are huge so you don’t have to worry about fallen lines or cheap wiring. Overall, Arlington did a great job here. My only nit is that the parking lot is located on a one-way street, but — that in mind — parking was still easy and trouble-free, so I don’t foresee that as a real deterrent. The access to public restrooms alone (a rarity) is good enough for high-praise from me šŸ™ŒšŸ»

It’s great place to play with the kids. Amazing and big two playground for children 2-5 and 5-12 years old. In summer they have a great shade and a little splash pad that is fun for all the kids. A good point is the big trees that beauty and refresh the place. The only problem is a small parking lot because it’s a big playground with sports spaces like soccer, basketball and more. You can find restrooms too.

I love that there is a splash pad thats saves water by only being on while children are using it...then shuts off after a bit when it senses that no one is using it. The playground is nice as well with a balance beam. It comes with a basketball court and bathrooms. Also...there's lots of shaded areas under trees and what is a park without lots of grassy area for sports or even to spread blanket to get comfortable. The only thing is that parking space is kind of limited and it can fill up quickly if there is any sports practices going on. So going early is not a bad idea. Over all...I can't complain about this park that is nice for all...

The park itself is great. The city does a good job of keeping it clean. My only complaint is the bathrooms are only open when school is out for summer break. The city claims it's because students use the playground so it's for safety reasons. Only the elementary school had a brand new playground installed over a year ago that's fenced in, so the teachers no longer bring the kids to the city playground for recess. Would be nice to utilize those nice bathrooms more than 2 months of the year. Yes, the city is aware they are always locked and are aware the school no longer uses...
