We had such a fantastic time here. The owner was incredibly friendly, and it's truly a family affair with his daughters providing the best voiceovers for the explainer videos. I have never been to an escape room before, but our group had an amazing time. The puzzles were satisfyingly difficult, the time pressure was spot-on, and there was a real feeling of accomplishment.
They had clearly put a lot of thought, both into the puzzles themselves and into the quality of the props and how to interact with them. It was exactly the right level of difficulty - at no point did it feel frustrating or we didn't know where to go next. The confirmations when we had done something right and gleaned an answer were extremely useful.
The set itself was excellent too - lots of props to pickup and use - the whole experience was very tactile. Another great element is that everyone had a chance to shine - whether you're good at spatial awareness, maths, discussion, delegation, problem solving or something else, there was ample opportunity for everyone to take part.
There was also a really cool wow surprise about halfway through that made everything even more exciting. Want to know what is it? You will have to go and play!
I would thoroughly recommend Fox and Otter and would definitely encourage you to go - you'll come out with a sense of triumph and a big smile on your face! We...

So much thought and care went into every detail, and the owner is super friendly and clearly loves being a part of it. They were also very accommodating, happily pushing back our start time so some of our friends could make it after work.
The puzzles themselves were creative, and varied from numerical/analytical codes to more tactile and visual ones, so it takes people of different thinking styles to put it all together and everyone is able to contribute. The premise of the room we did, Da Vinci Diamond, was that the group is detectives searching for evidence in a one-hour window while the suspect's security system is down. This set-up means you're not "locked" in like a lot of escape rooms, so people who have trouble with claustrophobia or anxiety about being trapped don't need to worry. The non-linear format to the puzzles was also refreshing, meaning everything didn't have to be done in a specific order to work.
All in all, it was a fantastic experience and even if you've done escape rooms before, you'll probably find something new and exciting in...
Read moreWow, what a rush! We finished the room with less than 30 seconds to spare! Without spilling any secrets, the experience from start to finish was fantastic, with a great twist at the end! Fox N Otter is a passion project for the couple that started and run the place, and it really shows. Everything is carefully curated in their own whimsical style. The game is well crafted, and they guide you through the experience without giving anything away. Each puzzle was designed with thinkers and do-ers in mind, they call them foxes and otters. As we solved each puzzle working both together and individually, our excitement grew as each new challenge was revealed. My two kids and my wife had an absolute blast and we'd go back again in a heart beat. If you've never done an escape room like we had you should try it! And Fox N Otter ought to be your first place to go! Our host even gave us some excellent recommendations for the rest of our trip, which we took him up on and really enjoyed as well. This place is super special, go support them and have...
