I recently had the privilege of taking pottery classes with Meg who goes above and beyond to inspire and guide their students in their one-on-one pottery class. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with them in the class.
From the moment I walked into Meg’s studio, it was evident that they were not only highly skilled but also deeply passionate about the craft. Meg creates an incredibly welcoming and enriching environment, where creativity is nurtured, and progress is celebrated.
One of the aspects I appreciate most about Meg is their ability to adapt the teaching style to each student's individual needs. I feel like I am a slow learner and Meg was just really patient with me and helped me through a lot of things I would get frustrated with. Meg taught me a lot of tips and tricks throughout our time together that made pottery more enjoyable for me and I was truly excited about the pieces I was making!
I also had the pleasure of meeting Meg's partner, Jamie during one of my classes- Jamie was is lovely and talented in her hand building and painting! Together they create an artistic duo!
If you are new to pottery or have experience with the form and want to dive in deeper, I highly recommend taking Meg’s course! It was such a beautiful time for me to learn and really dive...
Read moreI cannot recommend learning with Meg and Jamie enough! I’ve been wanting to try pottery for years but have been too intimidated to start. Meg has made me feel welcome and at complete ease going into this at a very beginner level. By the middle of my first class I was on the wheel creating my first piece. They have been so incredibly patient and helpful every step of the way. I really liked the outline / checklist Meg prints out to see what we’ve gone over, and terms I can become familiar with after class on my own. Also, Jamie has been kind enough to show me her approach to hand building! The variety of skills and knowledge between these two is so impressive. They make it really fun, interactive, and leave you counting down til your next session. I plan on continuing to schedule classes with them even after our beginners class session comes to an end. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to learn from these...
