Not bad! If you have a few hours you can complete your reset here. Why if šŸ¤”The reviews are right! Bring some food and a lot of patience because this place is definitely bad šŸ˜µā€šŸ’« Well not for me since I left with full hours from here! In the check-in process, you need to provide your phone number, an ID, and a number starting with 309 They should be 9 numbers They will make you go to the parking area! They will make you wait until your appointment time or later! You must go to the office of Shipments. Or one of the guys in orange uniforms who are walking around the trailers. They will give you more instructions tell you to wait in your truck. later the truck driver is going to go to your truck and tell you which gate they will load you at..They will change the light from green to red. And then what you have to do is thicken until they finish loading... Once finished you will see the red light change to green and you are ready... Your papers. With the stamp they will be on you trailer.. I left the house with the doors closed and the guard only asked me to sign a BOL then I put the seal and left.

The worst place to pickup a load

Pull into the side closest to the guard shack to check in. Directions are posted on signs. Go inside with your pickup # and an ID. They will either have you drop your trailer in the drop yard down the street, drop the trailer on the facility, or back into a door. You have to disconnect your tractor if waiting for a live load. Once the light turns green, wait for the yard dog driver to come and unlock your air brake lines so you can connect. Then the guard shack will give you your bills. The seal will be inside the trailer. Don't forget to stock up on cheap coke products in the shipping office! People are very friendly here.

AVOID AT WHATEVER COST

This is my second time coming here for a load. The first time, they took hours to get loaded even though I was an hour early for my appointment. Also checking in was not easy as I had to continually walk back and forth to the S&R office looking for the clerk to come back from break.

As for this time, I’ve been waiting for a dock door assignment for about five and half hour, been asked to provide my shipping reference number three times by three different people all while being given attitude by a yard truck driver for being a little annoyed, but not rude, with the wait time. Meanwhile, I’ve seen multiple groups of employees come outside to smoke cigarettes, laugh, joke, and just otherwise not get these trucks in and out of here. They are obviously prioritizing the loading of the trailers intended for drop and hook instead of the live loads that most likely are on a tight schedule. For context, my appointment was set for 8pm with a delivery a 5am in Newberry, SC which is about 3-4 hours away and it is currently 12:05 am. Factor in a 2-3 hour wait time for load once I get a door, which hasn’t happened yet, and now my load isn’t getting delivered on time. On top of that, the receiver may reschedule my appointment for another day causing additional problems with other loads after this one.

Bottom line: this place is disorganized, doesn’t value time of owner operators or drivers, and the management/leadership of this facility is nonexistent and completely detached from how the employees are handling the workflow of outbound shipments. Again, I’m warning you to avoid this place unless you need...

UPDATED: cram culture is in full swing, they actually plan ahead to have all you drivers show up on the same day and sit around waiting on all the other drivers throughout the course of the day. guards kind of have a script, the process has become less random.

Old review because they should never do this again:

this place used to be a simple pickup/delivery location in the beginning of the year, but it seems like theyve embraced the cram ideology.

too many trucks in the yard at 1 time, and check in lines down the road.

the area around check out has become such a cluster truck the yard drivers need to park, get out, and act like traffic police.

also, the security guards need a simple script for drops, live loads, and the check out process. I definitely feel lost every time I check out here because its always changing.

the bills used to be in the back, now theyre printed at the gate, the guards sometimes just open the gate, othertimes they need you to come in even if youre bobtail bc your load isnt ready when its supposed to be. THEY NEED A SCRIPT! I'm tired of the games and lost time, we all should be on the same page,...

Every time I’ve come here, to pick up a preloaded trailer they haven’t even started it yet! Last time I was here it was supposed to have been loaded 20 hours previously... it was night by the time I got here, the place was a ghost town, and yet they made me leave! In the middle of the night in Atlanta Georgia, with very few options for finding parking, for a load that was supposed to be sitting there waiting for me. Now I’m back again, the place is packed, the load isn’t ready, and they don’t even have room for me to drop my empty… So now once again it’s turned into a live load! The only reason I’m giving them any stars at all is because I am parked here today… they do have limited parking when it’s available. That’s always a plus in my book. Although it always feels like they forget about you and leave you sitting over here in the corner by yourself for hours, waiting for the yard dog to acknowledge you. Sure, they have to pay me detention to sit here, that’s better than what most of my brethren make, but I could never be happy about incompetence. Besides, let’s be honest, by and large Atlanta sucks lol. Especially...
