J. Sherman Salon — Attraction in Atlanta

I'm too nice with reviews. I was being nice for their last "weekend" person, Jeremy- who had issues and would tell me about how he couldn't pay rent on time etc. Meanwhile, he was destroying my hair and would do whatever he wanted to...his signature color in the back (occipital area) and I think that's all he really had. After he left, they didn't alert me and I called to make an appointment..again my bad but I felt bad for him and I would give Jeremy a lot in tip. They told me he wasn't there so they put me with their replacement weekend person. She's nice but just not what I want. I pay a lot of money for my hair and give a lot for tip so I need to move on. My advice would be to be careful if your booking and they pass you to their weekend person...I think it's super rude and I'm not coming back. I'm sick of it and...

LOVE LOVE LOVE This salon is such an overall fantastic experience. Doug is not only incredibly talented, but also kind and knowledgeable. It was my first time dyeing my hair, and he answered all of my questions and always made sure I was comfortable. It was fun, easy, and everything I hoped it would be. I cannot recommend this salon enough. I waited to write this review until 2 months after getting my hair dyed because I wanted to see how the color lasted. I dyed it red (the color most likely to fade), and I still love it two months later. It has gotten less intense, but it has faded in such a way that is still gorgeous, and I still get compliments. Both Sara and Jeremy cut my hair over the course of about 18months while I lived in Atlanta. They both are great in quality and professionalism, and the whole salon is very friendly and welcoming. Both were able to recommend products, carrying much of the Devines line. Doug was excellent at handling reschedules for the team, and their reservation/confirmation system is convenient and easy to use. Jeremy was able to provide great recommendations for finding a new salon when I had to move away. J. Sherman Salon and the stylists are a great asset to Atlanta, and specifically Virginia-Highlands.
