I am a very frequent 3-4x a week customer with JINYA ramen bar, primarily at the pincer highland location.
I unfortunately am writing this email with extreme dissapointment and dissatisfaction with the poncey highland location and more importantly, in Tim, the managers unprofessionalism.
The past 4 DoorDash/uber eats orders have been incorrect often missing already included items in my ramen as well as additional items I have paid my money for and added.
Each time I call, Tim tells me there is nothing he can do as this is a third party delivery company. My issue was never on the delivery. I’m writing at this time to address my most recent issue. I ordered an order via DoorDash on Friday April 11,2025.
I ordered Pork gyoza Premium tokontsu red I paid additional to add Garlic Broccoli Bean sprouts.
Not only did I not receive the garlic or the extra broccoli I paid for, I didn’t receive the sea weed that automatically comes with it. I reached our to DoorDash to get a refund for the items not received and because this is the 4th time that JINYA has packed the order wrong, DoorDash was unable to refund me for items I received.
I called JINYA and when speaking to tim (this is the third time I’ve spoken to him about missing items from my order by the way)
His only solution was that there was nothing that he could do and I could come pick up the missing items, which obviously I was unable to do or I wouldn’t have paid to get it delivered.
I told him that I frequent the location a few times a week for lunch with a friend and could he possibly write a note to at least credit me for the missing items I paid for.
He kept telling me there’s nothing that they do for when they mess an order up, which I find highly unlikely. After persisting that this issue be corrected, he took my name and number down and told me that the manager would contact me to rectify the issue. As of today, the manager has still not been in contact nor have any solutions been offered.
This is extremely hurtful and bad for business. It makes me lean towards one of the several other ramen places in a direct vicinity that actually care about their customers.
I’d be happy to email over charges, door dash and uber eats orders to show how I often I frequent this business. To not be treated as a valued customer is disappointing and I will spend my hard earned...
Read moreSo highly upset @jinyaramenbar on Poncey- Highland for spilling a drink on my back and the staff member not even being sincerely sorry for spilling it on me. All the staff looked & ignored me & no one came to help. Not sure where the manager was either. They gave me a napkin and that was it. Thankfully I had a spare pants in my car. I headed to the bathroom & asked an employee who was also going to the bathroom for the code. She looked at me and shrugged her shoulders and went into the restroom. I walked to another employee & asked him for the code & he looked annoyed that i even asked. Mind you, it was not busy and there were maybe 2 tables with guest. He was only setting a table. I changed, went back to the table, still no one approched me or tried to move my friend. My friend & i sat in the same spot where it was still wet and sticky. I was so embarrassed and decided to leave. Our waiter came and asked if we were ready to order as if my back wasn’t still wet & i had time to look over the menu. Accidents happen & I was more than understanding and did not even react in a way that was rude but when you tell me “sorry girl” and there be a lack of accountability, it really made me upset. All i wanted was for someone to make it right. The bare minimum of checking on me & move me to a dry table at least. Also the audacity of another staff member telling me “have a good day” as i was walking out made me 100% never want to go back to any Jinyas and more upset that you could tell me that...
Read moreGluten-free? Not the place for you. The online menu is somewhat confusing when it comes to Gluten-free items, so we called ahead to the location. We learned that they do carry Gluten-free Ramen noodles but that they use the same pots as normal Ramen noodles (which contain gluten). Not a huge deal for me, I am normally fine with light cross contamination. We arrived at the restaurant and I asked which ramen I could have since I am Gluten-free. The waiter did not know, so they asked the kitchen. The kitchen said all of the Ramen bases contain gluten and the only Gluten-free options were cauliflower, edamame, and white rice. This would have been great to know when we called. We would have gone somewhere else. So obviously, this was extremely frustrating and I ended up eating a bowl of edamame while my wife and two friends enjoyed Ramen.
I have had Gluten-free Ramen at many places around Atlanta & other cities. They all have clearly marked menus, a wide variety of options or at the very least an educated staff that can tell a customer which items have gluten and which do not. I am pretty confused as to why this place would advertise that they have gluten free options??? Or why they have gluten free noodles that you can't have with a gluten free Ramen base?? I have considered those people who do not have a medical condition but prefer to not eat gluten. If that's the case, change your menu to say gluten-friendly and add a blurb of information...
