This was my first time to Atlanta and I stayed at the Hotel Claremont just down the street, I asked the front desk for a suggestion and they said — “If you are up for a short walk away there is a great diner called The Majestic Diner for breakfast.” I made my way there and sat at the bar. The environment was calm and the staff was very attentive. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros with Chorizo within minutes of sitting down. I loved seeing the open kitchen and the food prepped right in front of you by the chef. The food was prepared quickly and in front of me to enjoy. I like to order huevos rancheros because every restaurant has their own take on it. The presentation was different than what I’m used to but it looked appealing. It was delicious. The chorizo was cooked very well and had a great flavor to it all. Also, getting in your beans for breakfast is a healthy start to the day since most American diets are almost void of fiber. I’m not used to cheddar cheese not being fully melted but by time I made my way to that side of the plate it was in good form. I really liked the fact they chose to leave the salsa and sour cream on the side. The salsa was simple as it should be because it complicated the plate very well. I don’t usually eat sour cream and kept it off to the side. Overall, I was pleased with my meal and especially happy with the service. I was never out of water and everyone was very pleasant at such an early time time in the morning. I would definitely come back for more. If you’re in town and need a good home cooked breakfast this is a good spot.

We had never been before as my granddaughters always like going to waffle House or IHOP for breakfast so we chose this place for somewhere different. We thought it'd be a big wait cuz it looked very crowded but once we got in, the lady at the front said they had availability, and we were told to sit in Booth six. Server, I think his name was Bill, came up shortly after we were seated to take drink orders, then returned for our meal orders. It did not take long to get our food and there were four of us, 2 adults, 2 kids. Overall it was good. I ordered the spicy Mexican omelette which actually was not spicy but it was good. Kids had the silver dollar pancakes as well as a waffle with sausage. The other person had the ribeye and the house salad which he really liked. Server was excellent and I also enjoyed the atmosphere.... no complaints.

First, I want to start my review with I typically will only write good reviews if I enjoy a place and will not post negative comments otherwise. However, I am empowered to write this one because of the grossly, unethical experience.

Eight of us showed up to experience the Majestic late night greasy food - which in the past has never been a problem. This particular night we paid $40 to the front door and in gratitude paid an additional $20 to "Paco". His real name is Steven, the night manager. The money was to put us at the front of the line and to seat us. He sat us in the corner booth table - the one all of us in town people have enjoyed before. I left my group to the rest room. When I came out, he was jamming our party into the corner 5 top by the rest room. He changed our seating because there was a five-person group angry with him for seating us first. After we lost our table "we had gracefully TIPPED him for"...I complained. He was argumentative and rude. Said we would be fine with split tables. The whole point was he sat us and bended to the other group because they were loud and upset.

We called him out and he asked us to leave. Two of the eight of us were STONE SOBER and witnessed the TIP, his rudeness and his mistake. And, no....he did not give us our money back.

The worst part of this situation is that the daytime manager Shane and the OWNER are completely oblivious to his lying about the $60. Shane and the owner basically said that they are standing behind him. Which is understandable. However all eight of us saw the money transfer and willing to tell him directly. The other interesting fact is the owner said they have a strict policy to not except money to cut in line. First come first serve. It's clear to me he has no clue what his employees are doing. And, he is in complete denial that it's happening underneath his nose.

When I suggested the other group tell the owner what they witnessed, the owner called me a rude name, hung up on me, and could...

My wife and I came to eat here at about 1am after a long day at work, so glad they're open 24 hours.

We've been coming here for years and while the prices have gone up, to me it's still one of the coolest places to chill and have a great meal.

I usually eat from the breakfast menu and have my eggs over medium with the ham, grits and toast, which is always perfect, but tonight I decided to go with something I hadn't tried before.

I had the Santa Fe burger which is a quarter pounder burger topped with chili, cheese, jalapenos, onions, lettuce, tomato and a creamy spicy mayo sauce, absolutely delicious. It comes with fries normally but I'm not a big French fries eater so they'll let you substitute something else, so I got fried okra instead, which was fried perfectly and the okra was fresh and tasted excellent.

My wife got the grilled cheese and chili, and while the grilled cheese is good, the chili is phenomenal, nice and thick with onions and cheese on top, very fulfilling.

You get alot of food for the money so that's a plus.

Service is fast and friendly and I look forward to coming back many more times.

The atmosphere is so neat as it reminds me of an old diner from the 50's, very...
