Started swimming here a couple of months ago. Underused gem that's a dream spot for lap swimmers (the main pool has 12 lanes that are 25 yards). Even when swim classes and student activities are going on late afternoon/evenings - you can get your own lane in the middle. There's also a more shallow therapy pool that's heated.
Hours recently changed where it's now 8 to 8 most weekdays, and closed on Sundays.
Large locker room (bring your own lock) with individual showers that they just installed with curtains. You can also bring your bag out to the pool to set on top of the bench along the wall.
There's a small freeweight room next to the pool, and another room with exercise equipment (treadmill, etc.). Thankfully these rooms are air conditioned.
Other plusses - lifeguards on duty (and super friendly), two bike racks just outside the front door in view of check in and covered by the front entrance (this is less than a block from the new Westside beltline).
I bought an annual pass that's a fraction what you'd pay for a private gym (you're sent a picture ID that you then scan to sign in) - otherwise it's just a few bucks BUT they don't accept cash anymore. Membership is also good at most other city of Atlanta swim and rec centers (Piedmont Pool has its own membership).
Nice mix of people - rarely crowded if you're there in the morning or...

As a previous swim lesson participant, the facility has been a cornerstone in the transitioning to bilateral swimmer. There are more than five lap lanes over six feet in depth. Non-swimmers and spectators are welcomed to sit in spacious bleachers. Facility membership is $110 if resident of Fulton County. Or, drop-in to swim at $5 per visit. The space is clean and lights are bright. This is a memorable facility near Ashby Street Marta Station, Washington Park and Booker T. Washington High School. Young children, youth and adults swim lessons...
