This place has been a staple in my life since my early college days (don't ask when that was - just say a very long time) and has not missed a beat since. Love everything about Mr. Everything. Here are my takeaways.
Environment Mr. Everything has a brand new spot and location! Right across the street from the old location but they've upgraded with a two story space with more seating, more art, more modernized that gives people the option to dine in more comfortably or even sit back and have a drink upstairs. The decor is gorgeous and I'm really happy that they were able to improve their space.
Service Most of the service is over the counter - you walk in, walk to the counter, tell them what you want, pay and then wait for your food to either take with you or eat there. They are sweet and used to the fast pace and business of the cafe so they are pretty patient and will help guide you through the menu since EVERYTHING is on it. I suggest taking a look at the menu before you go and bring all the questions you have when you get there. Depending on how busy they are depends on how fast you get your food. This place is usually busy so be prepared to wait. Order ahead of time if you can. The new space should make the wait a little more comfortable.
Food and Drinks I usually get the same thing every time - the famous grilled chicken sub, whole and add spinach and broccoli. It's ALWAYS good. Love it. All the flavors mash together in a great way. I've had friends also get the grilled chicken over rice and they also loved this.
Overall Don't walk here, run here if you're visiting Atlanta. Its a staple of the community that you should check out and find what you like. There are tons of options so come prepared to explore and figure out what you love. This will continue to be one of my favorite...
Read moreOkay so first I want to start out saying the food is great. The portion size is great, they most definitely will give you your moneys worth. Although, you know with having a restaurant customer service plays a big part and that is most definitely something they need to work on! I came here on a Sunday around 1:15 pm, I ordered my food online around 12:43 pm & the estimated time that the food would be ready was around 20-30 min ( also payed already online). I get there mind you the lobby is so tiny it’s ridiculous, a group of 5 can barely fit at one time. The girl working on the register asked if I was ordering or picking up, of course I was picking up. She told me that the food wasn’t ready yet & it’ll be about 10 more minutes, cool no problem I can wait 10 minutes. Since it was a order of 7 items for me & co workers (still on the clock by way) I was being patient regardless of the fact it should’ve been ready upon arrival. 10 minute’s past….nothing, another guy that was working had told me it would be another 15 minutes on my order! Ummm sir I already been waiting 10 minutes + an additional 15 minutes is kind of irritating, when my food should have been ready when I got there. Cool, he offers me a free can soda for the extra wait time lol 😑… I wait AGAIN. Another 20 minutes past & I still don’t have my food!!! Like really!! On average about 10 people got there order before mine, MIND YOU I PAYED ONLINE & WAS HERE BEFORE ANY OF THE PEOPLE THAT GOT THERE FOOD BEFORE ME !! I finally get my food after almost a whole HOUR!! I left the restaurant at 2:00pm …while they seem to not have a care in the world with no sense of urgency! Use to at least a 35 minute wait WITHOUT ordering online, and still never went threw this!!!...
Read moreIn the pass I've heard good things about this sub sandwich spot, but finally got to check it out for myself on a Saturday night after a quick run to Walley World. It was the first time I could actually see pass the front counter. Normally there was a standing room only crowd blocking the view of the inside from the street in a car, or just walking by on the sidewalk. I soon found out why. They offer much of the sandwiches one would expect to find, plus they make grilled salmon sandwich or on a bed of rice. I ordered the sandwich version. I was warned that it would b up to a 30 minute wait because all their food is made fresh to order. That explained the normal crowd. I noticed that most people came in, made their order, left, then came back about 20 minutes or so later to pick up their orders. Two things I did notice that was different then franchise sub sandwich spots was; #1 french fries are not part of their menu. #2 they really, really pile on the ingredients! Not just the veggies. I stood there watching Mr. Everything himself pile grilled juicy meat onto bread untill the meat started calling off, over and over again! My sub felt like its weight was almost 3 pounds. I couldn't eat it all, so I took the second half to work for lunch on Monday. Needless to say, "Papa got a new sandwich spot!" To avoid the wait, I recommend calling your order in. Their dinning room is closed via Co vid-19, so it's get it and go. And yes the owner and employes...
