Clothing was essentially what is left over at a picked-through savers. Thrifting people, skip this spot. Very little else to offer. Store was cramped, and somehow felt empty at the same time. Smelled bad too. Kids toys everywhere. Kind of just felt like a hoarder house. Two stars because I appreciate the attempt at everything being a dollar.
Long review because this guy deserves genuine feedback. Seems like he either dismisses or ignores all bad reviews.
Really disappointed by this spot. Came here last week to check out the store because I enjoy thrifting and the photos online made it seem like a cool place. Arrived and was met with the owner standing outside telling me "it opens on the 29th" Ok... Google listed them as open, but when I mentioned that, I was met with a very dismissive response. I let him know that it is super easy to update the google page, and said this as a fellow business owner in hopes of saving anyone else the trouble. He could have said ok and moved on, but he decided to go on some rant about how he's on vacation and he's the owner blah blah blah everything is a dollar. Who asked? I left frusturated after wasting my time and gas to drive there. No remorse or anything from the owner. As a business owner in customer service, it is important to be kind to visitors. Good thing to remember, even though I must have offended him by suggesting updating his page. Anyways... I came back the next week since I was in the area and still was curious to see what they have. Shame on me for not reading the fine print, because not everything is actually a dollar. Roommate bought some gadget that was still in its packaging. We got in the car, he opened it up, and the box only had directions and some plastic in it. Embarassing.
It's great that someone wants to sell everything for a dollar, but if this is what a dollar store in 2025 is, maybe its time to raise the prices and get some cooler stuff.
Long story short: dirty and messy store, rude entitled owner, nothing worth going out of...
Read moreMy family and I have been going to this thrift store since the day we moved to attleboro. It has been such a light and a great place for us. The women workers have always been nothing but kind and respectful to us. We never felt threatened or uncomfortable. However, when we went to the thrift store recently, we encountered the 2 male workers. It was an experience in which made us not want to go back. It was my sisters birthday and we were playing music and excited to thrift and spend a day together. Then we were approached in our car before even getting a chance to go in and told if we don’t leave they will call the cops on us. We were playing a birthday song and catching up for a second. They didn’t even give us a chance to talk or speak, just started calling away on their phones. As i looked down at my skin and my sisters husbands, i realized what the issue was… it was our color. Not once did he talk to us in a polite manner or let us even get a full apology out. Immediately they assumed we were trouble, mind you we were celebrating and were genuinely planning on going in to the store as we have for these past years. Such a sad altercation we had with them, never again will we be supporting a place that treats...
Read moreMy husband and I drive to this spot often. The pro to this place is that everything is $1 and you can find some decent stuff. Unfortunately though, they do have some cons. One would be that they have the same stuff ALL the time. It’s just thrown and squished together, from what I gather after going months in a row. Second would be (my biggest one) the sales girl working the register does not make you feel welcome to shop or just generally feel comfortable. I feel I always get stared down or she’s annoyed by people presence. Closing at 5pm is a hit to the sales too, we’ve showed up plenty of times past 5pm, unfortunately (and that’s on us) but regardless, it’s always that “why are you even here” look and attitude. Even simply just by reading the hours sign, in my car from the parking lot. I had my hesitations the first time but it is something to do so we make the trip. I think it’s one of those places you have to go to to get a good sense of it. Also, it looks bad when the owner comments back poorly on the bad reviews and doesn’t spell out words to their entirety. If you’re a business person, just simply put your best foot forward in all aspects. Even behind your...
