Google and All Trails have this trailhead mislabeled. This is not the trailhead for a hike to Sculpture Falls! For Sculpture Falls you want to go to 3918 S MoPac (put that in your GPS). Free parking and a much flatter, prettier hike to multiple falls including Sculpture Falls. This trailhead is for the Hill of Life, a cheeky name for a very steep, rocky, uneven, strenuous hike. EMS gets called out here every week (multiple times a day in the busy season) for folks who injury themselves trying to hike back up the hill to their car. Can’t believe you have to pay to park here. You have to use the city of Austin app too which has a $10 minimum load and 25 cent convenience fee for each transaction. $2/hr even on Sundays. What happened to public spaces for everyone to enjoy? You’re better off coming here from another trail entrance that has free parking. Seems like the rich people living here want a nature trail by their house but don’t want other people to enjoy it...

You can park along the street and pay with a card at the pay station at the trailhead. You do not need to use the app. Parking is fairly expensive; I paid $14.75 for five hours. Note: you pay in advance by the hour, so you have to estimate how long you will be parked, similar to a parking meter.
