Im sure this place is usually great, but i went there for a flat tire on my ebike and was charged 80 dollars when the website said 25. I use my bike as my only form of transportation and dont have the tools to take off the back hub motor wheel, and this place was the only place close enough to my house to walk my bike to, so i said yes. I suppose I should have said something, but due to my circumstances this was the only option available to me. If the price was listed correctly or even just not there, I would have called around to get a good estimate of what I would pay and go from there. When i returned I asked if there was anything they could do about the cost since the price i saw on the site was a third of what they then charged me. the manager was very aggressive and very accusatory, seemed to think I was acting in bad faith and trying to pull something. Im an 2nd generation Austinite, lived here all my life, I feel like this interaction is not what this city is (or I guess was) about. I have spent half of my grocery budget on this now and was treated like I was trying to cheat them out of a few bucks. All I would've wanted was the benefit of the doubt and some understanding, not even necessarily a discount. instead was made to feel stupid and treated like I was entitled. please treat all your customers like you care, not just the ones who can throw around money without caring and dont make a fuss when they feel like something feels off. the people who actually use bikes to get around because they cant afford a car deserve understanding and good service aswell. I didnt appreciate the bro-y vibe I was greeted with when I spoke up, maybe if I looked the part I would have gotten more sympathy and less judgement. They should advertise that on their website after they change the listed price for fixing a flat i guess. I barely make enough for rent, this seemed like a cheap local option that might be able to help me out. Guess I know better now. Come here at your own risk I guess.

I am a beginner bike rider, and went to Bike Farm with a recommendation from my sister to buy a commuter bike. Anna, the associate that helped me, was very patient with me and answered all my questions as best she could. When she didn't know an answer, she called out to the many other knowledgeable workers there. Willie, with all of his biking expertise, helped me choose a bike, and gave me tips on how to handle hills, how to find cycling groups if I wanted to, taught me how to properly load a bike into the car. Everyone was super helpful. The shopping experience was very relaxing. They let me ride 6 or 7 different bikes and allowed me to ride them multiple times. They also listened to me when I said that I had an issue with one of the shifters. I thought it was a problem with my riding technique, but turns out the chain was a bit stretched at that point. At no point did I feel pressured to buy a specific bike or more expensive bike. Overall, it was a pleasant 1.5 hours that resulted in a purchase that I feel strongly and comfortable about. I would recommend people check out bike farm if they're looking for an awesome bike shop. They also sell longboards and breathy attire, which I thought was neat.

Went in today not sure I was going to get a bike, and drove out with a bike thanks to Jason! He was so awesome and knowledgeable and made me feel really comfortable about my decision. He really seems to know his stuff. I was looking for a gravel bike to ride in Houston (Woodlands) on the road and off road. I got a Marin Nicasio +. Jason helped me get tires with tread on them, a mount thing on the back for me to put camping gear, lights, a helmet, and also a thing to mount my iPhone. He also wrote down the things that I need to keep in mind when I go to a bike shop in Houston to have my bike looked at for maintenance (since I'm not too knowledgeable with bike terms). I will aim to visit Austin after my move so that I can continue to get aid from Jason and the team - thank you guys! ❤️

Do not go for bike maintenance, tune-ups, or any issues involving bike repair! They will charge you for things they haven't done, and they've never actually fixed issues with my bike, only a quick temporary fix to charge me and get me out the door.

The people who work there don't seem to genuinely care about what you have to say in comparison to other bike repairs shops in town. Honestly, Austin has so many other bike shops that will treat you better then this place and actually work with you to solve the issue and not overcharge like Bike Farm does.

I've taken in my bike multiple times to Bike Farm and have never left feeling comfortable or satisfied. The most recent time I went because my bike chain was stuck. I told the guy the issues I've had with my bike and that I probably need a new chain. I'm always down to invest in my bike- so I also tell them if there's anything you notice that needs more work or think something would be better if I got a new part I am willing to invest. They suggested doing other tune-ups which I agreed too. When I picked up my bike, it still had the same old chain which still had some rust. I told the guy my bike looks the same and it really had some issues that I feel they didn't look into. He told me the chain was fine and had plenty of life.

It survived the bike ride home, but on the second ride the chain literally broke off while I was riding it and I had to walk it home. The quick tune up includes tire truing and brake adjustment which I found out later they didn't do (or at least didn't do correctly). I'm almost positive they never gave my bike a legit test ride because the seat was in the same position I leave it in.

The previous time I went to Bike Farm I wasn't satisfied and I feel like they didn't listen to me when I said I felt the bike still needed more work, and the issues came back after a week of riding. I so badly wanted to go back and complain about the chain breaking and do a "I told you so" but I didn't even feel like dealing with them anymore.

People recommended I go to Clown Dog to get my bike fixed. This is where I found out Bike Farm didn't actually true my tires or adjust my brakes (even though I was charged for it it) as the Clown Dog people showed me it was still off. They also pointed out several issues with other bike parts Bike Farm never discussed, even though I asked them too. Gave me a 90 day come back if anything feels weird policy where Bike Farm just kind of says "we're right and peace out".

As a woman I always get nervous going to any repair shop because I feel like men there won't take me seriously, can take advantage and overcharge me, which Bike Farm confirmed.

TLDR: They don't seem to seriously care about the issues you have with your bike. They will charge you for services they haven't provided in basic & full tune-ups, and the repairs are a quick band-aid fix to charge you & get you out the door rather then solve the actual problem. I've been to Bike Farm 3 times and have only had bad experiences.

I don't like leaving bad reviews, and it sucks cause I want to like Bike Farm and support small local businesses, but it's just not it.

I don't have a lot of money- but I think it's important to invest in my bike and tip mechanics well, which I always do, and I unfortunately regret doing it at Bike Farm. This review is especially for you people who don't have a lot of extra money - I highly recommend you investing in your...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Bike Farm in Austin, and I must say that the experience exceeded my expectations. The standout feature of this fantastic establishment is undoubtedly their exceptional mechanic, Jay. Their expertise and dedication to providing top-notch bike work truly set them apart.

From the moment I handed over my bike to Jay, I could sense their passion for their craft. Their deep knowledge and understanding of bicycles were evident, and it instilled confidence in me that my beloved two-wheeler was in the best hands possible.

Jay's meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence were evident throughout the entire bike servicing process. They listened attentively to my concerns and took the time to thoroughly assess the condition of my bike. Their expert eye quickly identified any issues and presented me with a clear explanation of the necessary repairs and improvements.

I was genuinely amazed by Jay's technical skills and their ability to transform my bike. Their craftsmanship was second to none. The precision with which they handled each repair and adjustment was remarkable. It was evident that they take immense pride in their work, going above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my bike was in optimal condition.

Upon receiving my bike after Jay had worked their magic, I was blown away. The performance and ride quality were truly exceptional. It felt like a brand new bike, if not better! I could sense the careful fine-tuning and adjustments that Jay had made, as every pedal stroke was smoother, and every gear change was seamless.

In addition to their exceptional technical skills, Jay's friendly and approachable demeanor made the entire experience even more enjoyable. They took the time to explain the work they had done and offered valuable tips and suggestions for maintaining my bike's performance in the long run.

Overall, my experience at Sunny's Bike Farm was outstanding, primarily thanks to the extraordinary skills and dedication of Jay. If you want the best bike work in Austin, look no further. With Jay as your mechanic, you can rest assured that your bike will receive the utmost care and attention, and it will undoubtedly come back better than ever before. Please read it may help you not get screwed

A week or so before my spinal surgery was scheduled, I brought my bike here to get an offer to let it go. My first negative indicator should have been, when the rep told me that he wouldn’t come to my truck parked right out side the front door and that I would need to bring the bike to the back for the company to even consider making an offer. Strike One

I did so and left it for their consideration, took a number and awaited a call for an offer. Few hours later I received a call with a low ball offer and the rep said just wait till later today our biking group will be in and we may make you a different offer. I explained I was in no hurry and that although I didn’t except that offer they had time to see what came up because as I mentioned first I was having spinal surgery I’ll wait for a call to confirm anything and then come by when I could drive again to do so. No additional call- Strike Two

Five to six weeks goes by while I’m recovering, with no call. Today to drive up and give them the ticket they gave me when I dropped it off then request the bike back. THEY SOLD MY BIKE. Strike Three

THEY SOLD MY BIKE THAT THEY HAD NO OWNERSHIP OF, NO CLAIM TOO, NOTHING IN WRITING TO ALOW THE SALE. DIDNT CALL ME, DIDNT ATTEMPT TO LET ME KNOW THAT THEY WANTED TO SELL IT, WHAT THEY WHERE SELLING IT FOR, THAT THEY HAD INFACT SOLD SOMETHING THEY HAD NO OWNERSHIP OF AND NO AGGREEMWNT TO SELL FOR THE OWNER.

Rude as hell, the rep comes to me and said yeah I don’t remember you saying you had to have surgery but I do remember I made you an offer.

I hold my collar open and ask politely if he thought I would be making this scenario up while he and all the others can clearly see a fresh 7 inch cut down though the front of my neck. I’m happy to have made it out of the surgery.

RUDE REP, I’m happy to give you the money I offered you. Offers cash and walks away like he had something better to do then except his mistakes. RUDE REP- what you think you remember does not constitute a fact, and that a simple fact. Thoughts and emotions are not facts. That’s a BS way to run a buisness.

Will cc my attorney and give the company a negative review any chance I get.

It...
