Kitchen Central — Attraction in Austin

First, let me say that Gazi and his team at Kitchen Central were amazing to work with.

My first interaction with the team was working with designer Susan. We had some ideas, but she was swift to make suggestions based on our concerns and needs. She explained things in detail and provided the needed feedback based on her experience. The final plans addressed my many requirements, and she went above and beyond by making suggested changes to give me the symmetry that we were looking for.

Once the project started, I was amazed at how quickly the demolition was handled. I was concerned about dust and noise since I worked from home, but they did an amazing job at sectioning off the kitchen, dining room, and butler pantry from the rest of the house to minimize the dust in the other parts of the house.

Once flooring/cabinets/tile, and countertops were all selected, the timeline they provided me was amazingly swift and accurate. I could always count on Mike/Gazi keeping the work flow going and providing me with updates if/when a timeline needed to change.

Someone else mentioned Gazi's energy levels. I must say that the entire team was energetic, good natured, and a pleasure to work with.

Let me just say that my favorite parts of the kitchen/butler pantry are the items that the staff at Kitchen Central suggested we incorporate. Glass doors in the Bar area that open upwards, kitchen cabinets for baking sheets, and deep large drawers for our dishes/pans are some of my favorite. They also suggested we take out a kitchen window to expand the appliance wall, Gazi assured me they would handle the brick work with ease. The outside wall looks amazing and the larger kitchen layout is perfect!

We worked with Kitchen Central for remodeling our kitchen and renovating the first floor, including redo the flooring completely and painting. As the staring, we worked with kitchen central designer about one and a half month. She helped us to make us comfortable about our plan. For the actual demolition and construction, we thought it was a major project and it would take a long time to complete. Surprisingly and pleasantly, the kitchen central team has finished the majority of task roughly within one month. The quality of the jobs were very satisfactory. We also planned to replace the windows by other contractor. Initially the window replacement was scheduled before starting the kitchen remodeling, however it was delayed by more than a half year. The kitchen central team patiently worked through this situation. They waited until all the window jobs were done and retuned to us for finishing all the remaining tasks around the new windows. There was one mistake made by the kitchen cabinet factory. The kitchen central team worked with the cabinet factory to make the mistake unnoticeable. There was also another mistake of island dimensions due to the different dimensions of underneath cabinet from what we planned. The team lead explained clearly to us what was going on and what options we can choose so that we can make our decision at that point. It actually ended up better than what planned at the end. Overall, my wife and myself have been quite happy about the outcome of the our project after living in this nice looking kitchen and first floor for a half year. We had the BEST experience with the team from Kitchen Central! After being in our home for 19 years and dealing with MULTIPLE contractors along the way for various upgrades and renovations, we decided to renovate our kitchen (before we had only done floor and a couple of appliances). We researched and spoke to a number of companies but in the end we chose Kitchen Central for a few reasons. They respected the aesthetic we had going in our home already and helped us find something that worked with that. The team seemed knowledgeable and honest. That was key. Because unfortunately in Austin right now there are fly by night companies who are taking advantage of this boom we are having now but not producing on their promises. The fact that Kitchen Central has a brick and mortar store also helped a lot because a lot of companies we met with didn’t. Doug (designer) Gazi and Mike were very responsive every time we called or texted with questions. They are very knowledgeable and professional and they have an in house designer that helped us with lighting. We had ideas of what we wanted and they enhanced those ideas and made them a reality and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome.
