Pulled up to the drive thru on Tuesday afternoon 2/2/2021 around 5:20pm to buy dinner for myself and two of my roommates. EVERY TIME I spoke to one of my roommate's in the car they guy taking the order started talking (the speaker was so loud that I could not hear the people in the car I was in). He wouldn't listen and I had to repeat things to him louder. At one point a woman started to take the rest of the order. She was rude and did not communicate well speaking to me in a vague and very conceding manner. After the friend driving asked if we wanted to go somewhere else and I said "Yea, lets go somewhere else. The woman taking the order rudely said "That's fine, we don't want your service anyway". I moved back to Austin after living in another state for 11 years. Since moving back home I have been looking forward to visiting places that I miss. Short Stop was one of them. I'm not sure I want to try going to a different Short Stop location now! The staff of this location should be fired and replaced with people who know how to treat people who want to spend their money there. UPDATE: It's now been over a month since calling the main office to make a complaint. I was told that Jerald would call me back to take my complaint. I've called back twice since then with no response. I guess it's apparent that Short Stop does not care about it's customers and thinks it's okay to treat people who what to spend their money there badly. It sucks that after eating their food for years that I now do not matter. Not only has Short Stop driven away a customer I am not going to make sure that people know just how bad they treat their customers. Great Job Short Stop! UPDATE: IT HAS NOW BEEN TWO YEARS AND I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT MY STORE EXPERIENCE FROM THE COMPANY.    Read moreI come to this short stop probably three times a week for the past year as I work right next to it. I usually deal with the same guy but this time a new girl took my order. One of the speakers on the drive-thru barely works so you can't hear what they're saying when they're trying to take the order. I order the same thing the same way every time. A number three with everything on it and mayonnaise no mustard. The burger already comes with mayonnaise so I can understand the confusion on her part with the way that I order it. That's no excuse for her to cop an attitude because she had to repeat herself so many times because the speaker barely works. She kept asking me to repeat the order and every time I tried to repeat it she would cut me off with "That's what I said Sir!" And then she would finish my sentence for what she thought I ordered. Three times we went through this before she got frustrated and told me to pull forward. I tried to diffuse the situation by telling her hey your speaker's barely work so I couldn't hear you very well at which point she kept me off again and said "Yea they're old I get it sir." I told her she was rude and she came back with "Oh ok sir." Don't throw an attitude at me because your equipment is outdated and old. And when you ask a question, shut your mouth and listen for the answer instead of cutting me off with what you thought I said. I've spent a lot of money at that drive through and I've never had an issue with an employee until today. I'm sure they could care less but I won't be returning to this drive-thru.    Read moreHorrible service I received! I ordered my food the exact way I ordered it every-time I come to this location. They made my burger incorrectly, I called the store phone FIVE times before I got a response. I spoke with SAMANTHA who advised me to return when I could and she would replace my burger for me. I returned to the store the following day, she then took the time to inform I was not charged for cheese. Not my fault, which I explained. She then asked me for 65 cents to replace my burger to cover the cost of cheese, when I spent my gas and time to return to the store, on behalf of THEIR MISTAKE! Here to inform somebody else, to avoid having this issue. I will be leaving a corporate complaint, to make my 65 cents worth it. Please consider their service before visiting this location...
