I’ve come to this location a handful of times For different procedures. The first time I visited I was in love how Dasha did my lips although the bruising was horrendous which of course is always a risk with any injection. I just hadn’t bruised like that the 3 times I got my lips done at another place. Any way..
On another occasion I went in for smile lines and the practitioner recommended I also get cheek filler which I agreed to. I have to say the left side looked really good and she spread the filler out in multiple spots through out the cheek. However she only did two punctures on the other and applied all the filler in that concentrated area. Once the swelling subsided my right side was uneven and at an angle you could clearly see a big bump of filler (which the other side, where she actually spread the filler around, didn’t have). I went back immediately after all the swelling subsided and PAYED to have the filler dissolved. I informed Dasha of my concerns and she said “well the other injector marked both cheeks were done the same “. Crazy because I was there and I KNOW she DIDNT… Looking back I now think they should have at least discounted the dissolvent since they applied it incorrectly to begin with.
The last time I got my lips done I was left with some bumps and lumps that although not visible from the outside, they were felt and seen on the inside. I recently had those dissolved too somewhere else. I don’t know whyyyyyyy I just didn’t stop going after the lip filler or even the cheek fiasco but alas I also originally went in to have a PDO thread lift to reduce the appearance of marionette lines. They recommended I do two kybella treatments to the area instead, but I only agreed to one (thanks god).
When that swelling went down I immediately noticed my skin around that area was saggy. My face looked slimmer and more in a V but my skin felt loose and my marionette lines more pronounced. I contacted them regarding this and they informed me it was because I only got one treatment instead of the two they recommended… Now a little over a year and a half later I visited a celeb practitioner in New York that has informed me kybella on the jowls for someone my age (29 at the time ) was the WOST thing to do to one’s face!!! That it causes fat pad loss and the skin to become lax making the skin to droop down even more!!!! Which I now have. My face looked worse AFTER the treatment. I’m sitting here wondering why would medphysique even recommend such a procedure to begin with.
Do your research ladies please! Before you do anything to your face RESEARCH anyone’s recommendations because maybe just maybe...
Read moreI will preface my review by saying I have been doing Botox and juvaderm injections with another spa, but my injector left so I wanted to look around. I went to Med Physique after seeing an ad for a deal on lip filler, Botox and a facial. I am kicking myself because I knew the deal was too good to be true, but this spa had a 4.5 star rating and looked nice, so I gave it a go.
The special advertised a syringe of you choice of filler and 15 units of Botox. I chose Juvaderm but when I arrived at my appointment was given Kysse. I didn’t fuss because I’ve never tried kysse and I thought I’d give it a go. I will say, I still prefer Juvaderm but it may be that my injector just didn’t do as well as I’m used to. I have never been injected so quickly and it made me nervous because previously the process took longer and I could tell my injector was placing filler with intent and purpose. I left the spa with lumpy filler and spent my first two weeks massaging daily to still have a bump a month later. I’m still hoping that it will work itself out.
I paid for an extra 5 units of Botox because I’ve always done the same 20 units and after a week my forehead and 11 lines aren’t budging. After receiving Botox at Med Physique and waiting a full 2 weeks (usually it’s about 5-7 days for me) for it to kick in, it became obvious that my Botox wasn’t working. I’m not sure if I was injected in the wrong spot or what happened, but my forehead just looks lumpy, for lack of a better word. I read another review about a client that received Botox here and had no results, but I know people exaggerate so I booked anyway.
The only reason I am not giving a one star review is because I had a wonderful mini-facial with Shelby. She was lovely, talked me through all products used and gave me some helpful tips that I’ve been using and seeing great results.
I am now on the hunt for a new injector to fix what Med...
Read moreI never go out of my way to write a review but I am still extremely upset by my recent experience with this establishment. I had masseter Botox injected a month ago, something I have had done over the last 2 years however I have always gone to a dentist for this, aside from the last 2 times when I tried med physique. The first time visiting I had no issues, but when I came to see the injector for a second time I experienced a poor outcome that affected my smile completely. One half of my smile will not move or turn up at the corner. It looks horrible, and makes me feel horrible, especially since I have all of my bridal events happening this month. Melanie injected me differently this session than the time before, and different from all dentist’s I’ve seen. She fought me on this when I returned for a follow up saying this is the correct way and is done no other way. She was rude in her approach to me showing up to discuss this issue, and told me there was no possible way the Botox did this and I likely had a different medical condition going on. I made contact with the facilities doctor, who was very nice, emphatic, and explained everything to me. The doctor told me this WAS in fact due to the Botox and that the product either leaked to the muscle controlling my smile or was injected into part of this muscle along with the masseter due to everyone’s anatomy being a bit different. I paid a lot of money to not be able to smile during important wedding events, and was only met with a very rude injector when taking time off work to show up for a follow up appointment with Melanie. I advise caution against this injector, and will not be returning here...
