We went today for a nice round of golf, but it was horrible! The cashier wasn't very friendly. I asked her if they had tee times available and she said yes. I asked her for my discount and she said she already gave me one like I was supposed to know that. When I asked her what time we needed to be out there she then told me they had someone at 1:30 and 1:39. We were to start at 1:35. We had two young kids. Had I known they were putting us 4.5 minutes apart, I would have left and went to Bluebonnet. We started out and by the 8th hole let a group of 6 through. I went to get my ball between 2 ponds as the last of the group was walking off the green. Then the last guy off yelled "you could have waited until we were off the green". I thought he was talking to the next group (a walker) so I continued on to my group. Then the marshal shows up and says the guy in front of us said my kid was driving the golf cart! I am guessing he was upset at me thinking I hit my ball on to the last green as he was walking off! By now, I was about ready to leave, but everyone wanted to just brush it off and continue on. The next hole the walker guy almost hit me with a ball. It wasn't like we were holding anyone up! We waited for the group in front of us. At the 14th hole, the marshal comes around and says we were holding up the group behind us! The now group of 2 was 2 holes ahead of us. He says we can let the group behind us play through or catch up to the group in front. So we continue on to the next hole and keep looking back to let the group behind play through, but they were still teeing off the previous hole. The remaining holes we were waiting on the group in front. I am guessing everyone got jammed up at the par 3's and we looked like the ones to blame. We had to wait 10 minutes for the group of 2 in front of us (guy who lied about us) to finish the last hole. I have never been so upset with a round of golf. We wont be back. Bluebonnet was a much...

I pay for a monthly range pass here and went in asking why the range was closed again on a clear day (closed 5 days in a row for rain) and range didnt have any puddles or water build up... Golf pro decided to start screaming at me and getting super pissed that I asked the question. Told me "If you want better customer service go somewhere else (Barton Creek mentioned)". Really fit the sterotypical egotistical golf pro who thinks he's the king of the world. What is it with golf pro shops thinking you owe them something and they are mad you are even there?? I will say one lady working there was much more respectful than him and explained in more detail of why the range was closed due to their picker (which is what I was looking for). Golf pro needs to go, what a terrible returning customer experience all due to him. Range is always super crowded though, they only let you hit off grass on the weekends (if the range...

Really sad to give this place a 1 star because the course is nice but the staff members were incredibly rude. The ranger is extremely racist and kicked out a group of our golfers (selected the non-Caucasian) members out of our group and told them they had to leave without trying to explain to them the correct policy of the course. the two golfers didn’t understand that the ranger wanted them to go back and replay the first hole and said the members were not listening. Sad to see the city of Austin hiring such incompetent employees that don’t understand how to be a human being and try to empathize with someone that isn’t familiar with the sport. I honestly will never return which is sad because I love trying to support city parks but this is completely...

Everything about the course is in great shape...except the greens. I'm not sure what happened, because they were in great shape last year even through the broiler heat of the summer. But I would guess between 30 to 50% of the greens are nothing but smoothly rolled mud. There was a significant kill-off of the tiff Bermuda. The bare spots will not cover this year. Again, I am very surprised because they have been great the last 3 years. I heard it's even worse at Clay and Kizer.

By far the worst handling of a weather event that I have ever seen by a golf course. No horn, no warning, and left dozens of golfers out on the course in a dangerous hail storm. There were serious injuries, and all could have and should have been avoided. Embarrassing, reckless, and dangerous lack of action from a staff that showed no caring, as other golfers went out to bring back the injured and stranded, not the staff. Horrible.
