Fairways Cantina — Restaurant in Austin

Fairways Cantina is one of Austin’s hidden gems. The food is SO good! We had the Happy Gilmore tacos and the Merry Mex tacos, and both were delicious! The avocado ranch sauce is pretty spicy, but so tasty! The chips were even better than Chuy’s, and the guacamole may have been the best I’ve ever had — and that’s really saying something because I’ve had more guacamole than I could ever measure! My granddaughter and her friend had the chicken and cheese quesadilla, and they loved it. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and kind — and provide super-personal and caring service. The eating area is comfortable, clean, and very cozy. The view of the golf course out the windows — even on a cold winter’s day in February — was lovely amd relaxing. On a warmer day, we would’ve eaten outside at one of the tables on the spacious verandah. Maybe next time!

Was happy to see there was a permanent food/drink concession back at Mo Willy. I’d be happy with beers and hot dogs. But Fairways goes above & beyond your average golf course fair. They’re turning out some truly tasty food. Have had a fantastic build your own breakfast taco and lunch taco as well as waffle fries seasoned with what seemed like ranch powder. Friends raved about the frozen cocktails as well. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu that isn’t as conducive to eating in a golf cart. Definitely worth stopping by even if you’re not...

Really delicious tacos and fresh guacamole too. I walked here from my neighborhood with a friend today. I was impressed with their choices and prices for their food selections. My friend selected the pork tacos and I selected the snapper. We loved our tacos! The sauces and ingredients in the tacos were very flavorful. We also ordered the guacamole that was made with pépitas and was delicious also. I decided to try their frozen margarita which they make themselves.
