If you're looking to spend 430$ for a cut and color you hate come here!!! Even after they "fixed it" my hair is still a mess. I am waiting for it to grow another 2 inches so I can chop off the ends that don't match my hair color and also even out the choppy layers that I was given. I have gone twice in the past two years, I've had to go back EVERYTIME. Not once have they been able to get me to the color I needed. I have had nothing but trouble with this salon. For reference I get my hair done once a year (my hair is very thick and it takes long enough that I don't necessarily have time to go) I'm looking for a specific cut, a normal bob and color that matches the color that I got done AT THE SAME SALON. Every time I HAVE to "go back" I'm still incredibly unhappy with my hair. I showed a photo of the cut I wanted to my stylist and I got the farthest thing. The layering I was given is incredibly uneven and I feel embarrassed wearing my hair down because of it. Instead of a typical "bob cut" I got a mullet. I literally cannot wear my hair down naturally because unfortunately this mullet cut doesn't match my frame well. I will not be wasting another dollar at this place. Go somewhere that gives you what you're looking for, not the complete opposite. I ended up going to another salon to get everything fixed up the way I wanted and I had no issues. I would overall not recommend this salon to anyone that is looking for ANY kind of blonde. At this point I'm very skeptical of what they think a "seasoned" stylist is. If I could go back, I would have not chose this place to get my hair done. I'm really not sure why I had so much trouble, I've gone to several other salons with no issues and gotten EXACTLY what I was looking for. On top of this, I'm not sure what product was used, but my hair has been thinning as a result.
Based on the response from the salon, I would really like to emphasize the fact that this cut was still not a bob, the same person colored my hair both times. The second time they had mentioned they couldn't remember the color they used the last time (first red flag, probably why my hair was 3 different colors in the photos attached) it's not necessarily a maintenance issue, it's more that the cut was the worst cut I've ever had and my hair was literally orange. That's not necessarily a hair issue, that's a process issue, I feel like getting roots covered doesn't require this 3 toned hair or several tries to match what they had done before. Again, I ended up getting it fixed somewhere else, and it was done in a quick session. No issues found. It just probably would have been nice to know getting my roots done would result in this disaster. I also really urge those looking into this place to get a consult or something, make sure it's VERY CLEAR what you're looking for. After showing up to get my roots covered shouldn't have resulted in this 400+ later. I also asked when I went back to have it fixed if I owed anything (just as a courtesy honestly, the light in the salon is brutal so you really can't tell what things will look like until you leave) and my stylist said "the owner would be pissed if he knew, but don't worry about it you're good to go" so after having to go back it was suggested I would have had to pay more? For this? Not sure about all of that. I just hope the next person that arrives that's looking for a very specific cut actually gets just that. I also hope that with the level their, "concerned about customer satisfaction" issues like this won't happen. Of course the several hundreds spent on this terrible hair will not be returned, just make sure everything is clear with the stylist you work with because it appears that a good photo or at least a photo of in what you're looking for might in fact result incredibly...
Read moreI took this review down back in August because I wanted to post an update for the lashes I got in May. (I just forgot to actually repost it) But the lashes still looked good almost three months later. Even with my natural lashes growing in and all, the way my tech put them in, they still looked good, they were so strong, (I am anything but gentle).
I had gotten my lashes done before that at a different place, but any lashes falling out were so so obvious and it made me want to rip anything left out. Not with this set. Jsut loved it and I can’t wait to get another set done.
Original review:
This place felt like a fever dream (in the absolute best way possible). Everything about it’s design is so original and creative, and it is so clear they pride themselves on what they do and how they do it. The place is clean, the salon chairs are on a stage, there’s a vintage store that wraps around the salon to browse while you wait. The staff are all friendly, professional- and above all else, extremely talented. I had Noble do my lashes, and I’ve never had a more comfortable experience with getting them done. At no point did I get any burning sensations, absolutely 0 eye redness afterwards, she was super considerate about how everything was feeling and asked me consistently throughout. My lashes came out beautiful. I’m super happy with everything, and this is the only place that has convinced me that lashes are something I could get done on a more regular basis. If you’re scared to get your lashes done for the first time, I totally recommend this place, they’ll take great care...
Read moreI went in for a shag trim and left with a "mom bob". My hair was cut not in front of the mirror, so I had to wait till they were done to see what it looked like, and then I was so sad that it was not what I asked for. I also asked for the straight razor to be used and not shears from the start and 80% of the cut was still done in shears. I hate the way shears look when they're used for my layers and not a razor which is why I mentioned it from the start. I feel like I was lied to...the stylist doesn't know how to do authentic shags and tried to do it on me and ruined my hair. Like I would've been ok to come another time for someone who can do them. It's super short now. My other stylist said she'll fix it for me, but I'm really upset from the end result. I also had an appointment with one of the stylist, it said on my confirmed appointment. When I got there they gave me someone else and I tried to say that wasn't who I booked with and ended up with the worse haircut i've had in years. ): I still paid and tipped and it was about $75 ish but I'd highly recommend to view the stylists work beforehand and don't let them give you someone else from what's listed on your confirmed appointment. Not all of them have the same specialties. I cried the whole evening afterwards from how badly my...
