I like the park very well, and I walk around the park with my dog often.
But I am always frustrated that the bleachers for the softball fields are not maintained. They are rusty and will ruin your clothes if you sit on them. The parks department has allowed trees to grow up between the bleachers and between the seats. But then they go out of their way and spend hundreds and if not thousands of dollars on trees that they planted, but don't maintain in parts of the park that no one uses. I personally replanted one of their new trees after a piece of heavy equipment ripped it out of the ground and left it laying in the sun.
Additionally, there is gravel dumped in the middle of the softball field. The fences aren't maintained. The dugouts are overgrown. I guess I'm overrating this park by giving it four stars. A little TLC will go a long way to make this a more useful, safe and...
Read moreThis is our favorite park! We live pretty close to it. It's not walkable for us, but the neighborhood it’s in is very walkable. They have a sidewalk trail all around it, perfect for walking, longboarding, or biking. My kid likes to ride his scooter or tricycle here. And he loves the playground! If they had swings and a bathroom, it would be perfect. But it’s very shaded and good for little and big kids. They have a huge sandbox, too! People bring their dogs here off-leash, so be careful. It’s not the park's fault since signs are posted everywhere requiring dogs...

The gate doesn't close all the way so that would need to be fixed, the old bleachers removed, and the grass trimmed, but it would be great for that. There is a little track area but it's not outlined as a track, so that's another update that could potentially happen.
I'm assuming none of this is in the works because it's a neighborhood park. It still needs a bit of care but it served its...
