I wish they would let students park for free instead of parking on my street and then having to cross 51st. At least allow free parking after say, 5pm. The street is often jammed with cars and the lots may be half full at best. This is inconvenient for both students and residents, and is unsafe for students crossing 51st. No crosswalk and frequent speeders. The neighborhood streets are also poorly lit, narrow, and no sidewalks. Seems like a problem with an easy solution. You can reserve online ahead of time at UT Rec Sports for busy hours during the semester. For non-students: $26/ month rec sports pass for current UT staff, $14/month for previous UT staff, or $45/month for visitors. You can alternatively get a day pass for $14.
