Hoy's 5 & 10 — Attraction in Avalon

Usually, we love this place and go there all the time. But recently my daughters got A trendy labubu doll. Heads up, it was fake. That’s insane that they’re selling not the same doll that was being advertised. Then my daughter’s went back to try to return it and a Employee named Alisha, who was supposedly the manager told my daughters that they couldn’t return it because it was open and nowhere on the return policy Does it say that they can’t return something that is opened. This is taking advantage of little kids. I had to walk into that store and talk to The actual manager. Now we finally got my daughter’s money back after so many trips of going back-and-forth to the store. The store has always been great but after this experience, we are never going back. Staff was horrible. It was completely disrespectful to my daughters that they were discriminating against them because they were children and keep in mind My daughters are 13 and 12 so they know what is real and what it’s not They were being treated like seven-year-olds That was completely uncalled for and unreal for me to hear that my daughters were saying this to me. They were very upset because they used their own hard earned money for this Doll.

I came to this establishment with hopes of exchanging an item I purchased. The item came unwrapped and clearly used. A Hoy’s 5 & 10 employee refused to exchange or return it. She informed me of the circumstances of our situation with an agitated and disrespectful tone. When I then left with the item I had purchased in my previous visit I was accused of shoplifting and was asked to show this employee what I was holding. We were there 4 years ago, found everything we wanted for ourselves and for those we got souvenirs for, especially the mugs!! Recently I broke the mug I bought for myself, so I called Hoy's and the young lady who helped (I forgot her name) was superb not only did she send me pictures of the many mugs sold, she actually sent a picture of the exact one I broke, needless to say i was happy.
