Beach at Avalon NJ — Attraction in Middle Township

Avalon is great for a non-crowded vacation! And right around this location pin there’s a big pier you can sit under if you get easily overheated at the beach.

However- it has shot up in price recently and for no reason. On Dune Dr there are more and more home design / realtors / builder stores, but less and less family friendly things to do or places to eat. Long&Foster has a chokehold on this area and are just jacking up the prices because they can.

An amazing clean , family friendly beach. Getting a spot on parking lot was easy and the parking is free. We went on middle of June and the crowd was moderate, temperature were upper 80s still the beach water was bit cold. A very clean beach , trash cans are placed all along, people here are very kind and friendly. There is a wash room , dress changing area near the parking. Small kids play area is located near the changing area as well. The city made sure the visitor should have a great experience. This is not typical beach with lot of shops on board walk, but opposite. We are from nh, and this beach is absolutely amazing 👏 7 miles long, beautiful clean beach. This place is a must visit! You'll need a beach tag before 5 pm, to access the beach. Look up how to get one. Free parking a two lots bear 30th st. Bathrooms and changing rooms are available. Outdoor showers, too! At our campground, we were able to purchase BEACH TAGS from the office.
