High Dune is a true gem!!! Everything is so delicious and so fresh. As a cream donut fanatic, I have tried almost every one at the shore and can personally vouch that High Dune’s are the best! Their cream donut specials of the week are also so fun - you can tell every treat is thoughtfully created by folks who are passionate about their craft.

The staff is so kind and welcoming. These days, it’s hard to find a business on Seven Mile Island that’s truly part of the community, but High Dune is that place. From knowing residents by name, to their partnerships with other bakers, to fundraisers for local causes, they’re bringing back a little bit of the Avalon charm that we all grew up with.

OMG! I am shocked to see any ratings less than a 5 on this hidden little gem! We live down in Stone Harbor, but had some time to ride up to Avalon this morning. I had heard about this bakery, but didn't know much about it prior to today. I ordered an assortment of items this morning-- the staff was super friendly and nice. My assortment included the cinnamon buns with raisins, a couple of cherry danish, a creme donut, a cranberry orange scone and a cocunut macaroon. Everything was fresh and awesome. Maeve and the team at High Dune created and executed our wedding cake dreams to perfection for a reception dinner at Summer Salt this past week. Speaking with Maeve over the phone about what I was looking for was an absolute breeze, she’s so sweet and down to earth it felt like we knew each other!
