Amazing. What special surprise when by chance I walked into a new art gallery in the Waterways Shoppes in Aventura. This is no ordinary gallery and for me it was an extraordinary experience meeting the artist Mauricio Avayu. The way Mauricio shares his thoughts, his experiences, his techniques and the details that went into his amazing paintings & murals makes your visit an event you will long be sharing with friends & family.

Mauricio is a very exceptional yet humble artist. When I later did a web search, I was amazed at the accomplishments and accolades written about him internationally by so many respected, distinguished individuals.

We had the pleasure and honor of getting a personal tour of Mauricio’s art gallery. His paintings were simply amazing. Mauricio took a lot of time to teach all of us about his style of painting, and its relationship to the stories in Old Testament. We learned so much from him just by looking at his painting and his description of each masterful panels he created. He shared with us the process he went through with his art teacher/master learning the painting style that reminded us of old Italian masters.

His drawing from the Bible and were so accurate and just absolutely fascinating. It was just a pleasure seeing his enthusiasm from his own education and learning of Tanach. We Spent a magical hour at the gallery of Mauricio Avaya in aventura. We met with him and very quickly we realized this was not an ordinary gallery nor Mr avaya an average artist. we found ourselves in the presence of a master painter, a great artist, painting in the style and technique of old european masters in aventura Florida.

He is also a master story teller of the Bible, incorporating and depicting the kabalistic view, the spiritual meanings beyond the stories. Mr. Avaya’ s paintings speak of superb skill, quality, and beauty and are works of sublime spirituality. Interestingly, we found the master himself exuding a spiritual light, kindness and joy that was memorable!
