Luxury apartments? No ceiling fans or doorbell. Towel racks hanging over toilet paper holder, shower curtain rods installed too low, curtains drag the floor. Showers have no shelf for soap or other toiletries, basically we had to put them on the floor. Very poor quality control on a brand new unit. We lived there it was one problem after another, it was a revolving door for them to do repairs on our time. Would not recommend! While showing my grandson the pool some woman approached me and asked “do you live here” ?? She stated she kept and eye on things for Jay. I told her yes we did, her reply was “ no harm, now foul”!! We paid $3000 a month rent, $250 a month maintenance fees and $50 a month for our dog. Don’t expect maintenance on a weekend! The night of the extremely bad flooding in the Dallas area, we had a blocked drain outside the service room next to the room will all of our belongings were being stored, the water was so close to flowing over the threshold and my husband was on his hands and knees cleaning the grass clippings and mulch so the water would go down, we called “Jay”, his reply was “what do you want me to do it’s raining”. This was a Friday night and he said they couldn’t do anything until Monday. The new fireplace in our unit was leaking into the basement dripping on our belongings. Floors were cracking as you walked around the unit, it would wake me up if my husband got up before me. The sump pump was going off every three minutes, you could hear the water going out and then a loud bang. It took 3 visits from maintenance, finally my husband had to instruct them on how to try to fix it. The windows, brand new were not installed properly and so get airflow we had to open the windows at night. Our bedroom window was missing the pins to hold it from falling down. It got chilly in the night and while taking the box fan out of the window it came down on my 3 fingers , leaving bruises. I needed air movement due to no ceiling fans. Our refrigerator (brand new) was not keeping safe temperatures, I was aware of safe holding temperatures for food, I took a class at Penn State . Jay said “just stick your hand in it you can tell if it’s cold”! Mind you, this is the same man who owns numerous Burger Kings!! We couldn’t stop the alarm, all night and day , it was making us crazy. We reported it Melinda and Jay it took days to get a call. Instead of taking a refrigerator from the vacant “new” unit they wouldn’t because Jay said “it would take too long” they would need to replace doors.. wrong!!! finally they brought us a replacement. It looked like a spare “basement or garage Hi refrigerator”. This was placed in our living room area. Guess what it didn’t work! We lost so much food and they never offered compensation and we never did. Finally a new one was delivered Do yourself a favor, look elsewhere. When I told Jay we needed a new refrigerator his exact words were “ if you want a new refrigerator I guess we should raise your rent to $3500”! When he told us he was on speaker phone and 3 people heard it. Looks peaceful? Think again !! I would take long walks and speak with other neighbors, sadly the maintenance department was lacking they said, naming issues they were experiencing. I wish I could post pictures, they would support all the maintenance issues. When we moved in I t took 2 weeks to get internet because the unit was not wired correctly, how did my husband work? He didn’t! I could keep going, it was so stressful the way we were being treated! They were rude, disrespectful and didn’t care about anything but the $$$. Think long and hard before you sign on the line! We had to get out so bad we purchased a home to get away from this stressful environment! One last thing, the breakers were tripping on a regular basis, requiring us to go to the panel box to reset the breakers. I couldn’t use a simple heating pad, it would trip the breaker leaving me in the dark. These are all facts, let the...
