Lovely, lush greenery and public beach access within walking distance from the ferry. Well-maintained trails with wheelchair accessibility at the end of Hawley Way NE - some are boardwalk style; others are basically more well-trodden paths. Paths lead to the beach at two different points with views of Mount Rainier and the Bainbridge-Seattle ferries. All-in-all, a peaceful environment with diverse wildlife, rocky/sedimentary beaches and an abundance of driftwood (good place to sit). An alternate entrance to the park off of NE Wing Point Way just before the golf course. No...

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Personally one of my favorite spots on Bainbridge Island. It’s so clam, quiet, and blue there. You could take a walk, sketch, have a chat with friends or family. I really want to visit again!! We spent like an hour there because we had to take the fairy back to Seattle other wise I guess we could spend the whole afternoon walking around and taking pictures. We took a walk around that corner so it’s fine if you don’t drive or not having any transportation. The road was a little bit tiring but it’s very...

Loved this short walk through the woods, onto a boardwalk, and down to the beach. Trail has a bit of an incline (not real steep but a little challenging to traverse with a cane). Parking is on-street only. Beach is rocky and a little slimy (the dog loved it). To the left, it's a little hard to get down over rocks and driftwood. The right fork may be easier. Watch out for abundant nettles in the woods in the forested areas. This park can be reached by walking up from the ferry (not short/quick but not a long...

We took the ferry across with our dog. This little park was worth the few minutes of driving. Not too far to get down there. A cute little boardwalk, skunk cabbage beside the walkway, and leads to the beach. We sat their & watched the waves. Our dog stroller had an easy time on the path until just at the beach. We had to lift it over a few small driftwood pieces, but nothing that wasnt managable. A nice little walk in the trees.

Many ways to get to this park, but walking from Wing Point Way leads you through a small forest trail, that opens up at the end, to a view of the ferries coming and going. Depending on tide levels, you can walk all the way toward Winslow along the shoreline. Or you can just sit and watch the boats, with Mt. Rainier in the background. Perfect for a small picnic and chatting with friends.
