So beyond happy to find this little gem on Bainbridge Island, a quick five minute walk off the Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal.
Being the first one off the ferry, there was no line by the time I got there, but the line did increase as I was enjoying my food outside. I advise you to get there early, and then then site-see the rest of the island, especially the Eagle Book Store, after eating.
The staff is incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. Especially Kouze, who was working in front of the house and came outside while I was eating to ensure my order was right and to my liking. Really appreciate her friendliness and personal interaction, especially as the day progressively got busier.
I got the very picturesque variety tray for sashimi, which included the most delicious, fresh, tender, and tasty Japanese style seafood ever.
I also ordered a bowl of their famous clam chowder, with the spicy ra sauce on top. It was so heavenly I bought a jar of the sauce to take home.
Along with a side of white rice, these few options were more than enough for two people to share.
The Yuzu hot Toddy or the Gin Moscow Mule were absolutely delicious.

Read moreThis place is absolutely wonderful, incredible, amazing, delightful - I can keep going but I think you get the point! I had the 206 curry and my friend had the poke bowl with salmon and ikura (salmon roe) 🥵 I was beyond floored with my curry, it has everything you could ever want and then some. It has so much depth you could swim down for miles and never hit the bottom. It is warm and warming, it is cozy, it is the ultimate comfort curry. I may or may not have teared up just a bit when I had my first bite! It is a meal I won’t forget anytime soon, and have thought about several times a day since I went there last month. The 206 Curry is a hug from your grandma, a kiss on the forehead, the first rays of sun hitting your skin after a long winter… just in the form of food. You know how sometimes people say the secret ingredient is love? It really truly is here, everything they make and craft and serve and deliver is steeped in love. Don’t forget to try the yuzu...
Read moreWow! I'm so glad we figured out how to get into this place. Hint: work your way down through the parking lots off Winslow Way, or plan to drive into the ferry, almost to the pay station, as if you are the transit. The food is fantastic and creative. There is plenty of parking in front, on the side and back of the business once you're there. I think this was the best scallop poke I've ever had. (No mayo and more of the meat, not just the adductor muscle.) My daughter loved her teriyaki and my partner's chirashi bowl looked amazing. I only docked one star for atmosphere because they were BLASTING AC/DC when I was trying to figure out the busy menu and it was momentarily uncomfortable. The music calmed down long before our food arrived. I know I sound old. It was seriously the only part of the experience that wasn't sublime. Try the...
