Would have been a five....but after an hour and half close to two hours after my three year old have been sliding down the kids slide, and playing and having a blast....yet another rotation of lifeguards came threw and my child my three year old came screaming and crying mommy mommy....the lifeguard decided instead of talking to a parent and not my child to tell her she can't slide down her favorite slide she's been sliding on all day with her life proof on...(the one that goes around child and hands go threw floaties) that she can no longer slide down the slide with her life proof on...ummmm excuse me while my child has had several of the lifeguards out here conversations with the parents and having a blast no one ever said anything...no goggles is what was told to some kids whom was coming down due to them no being able to see...so now I requested to speak with a supervisor another young child comes over whom is in charged (where are all the adults) place feels like it's ran by all teenagers, couldn't get an adult and this child again whom says she's in charge tells me that the lifeguards aren't consistent in what happen to today but my child can't not go down slide and end up in a foot of water whom cnt swim without one, want me to let the inconsistencies of the lifeguards protect my child if she goes down the slide(which I'd made for them) without a life proof or another child whom has a life vest....Where are the signs to say that? And why would she talk to a child telling them something like that without taking to a parent first...really upset might drop this to a two ratings if it hasn't been for the good customer service the kids had at the concession stand...and before anyone says she didn't knw where her parent was, dnt because I was talking and playing right by her when lifeguards did the exchange and my child said hi to her and I said come on let's get off the blue mat (at the end of the slide) that a lifeguard been standing the whole...
Read moreMy daughter and I are touring every pool in St. Louis and St. Louis County, and this has been the worst experience and one of the worst pools we've been to. We'd just come from the new pool in Webster Groves off of Elm (which is lovely, twice as big as this one and a dollar more for non-residents), which was "tube optional" for the lazy river. We decided to go to the lazy river first and just got in. Apparently, there is a singular sign that states you need a tube to enter the lazy river, which was obstructed by patrons and we missed it. Given the lack of tubes when we got in, I figured this was tube optional, as well.
One lifeguard noted that we needed a tube, which I explained the mix-up to. She was fine and we agreed we'd grab one when we went back around. The next lifeguard proceeded to accost us over the issue. I also explain to him the same mix-up, to which he shouted "I don't care" at us. I asked him what he'd like us to do about it, since we were already in the damn thing and it's not like they have a decent supply of the things to begin with (otherwise, we'd have seen them piled up at the entrance). He "demanded" we exit the pool and walk all the way around to the other side of the park, barefoot on the concrete in the 110 degree heat, to collect a tube at the entrance. I had a catastrophic injury to my ankle last year and am disabled, according to the State of Missouri. I ain't doin' all that, and told him as much. Napoleon complexes from 15-year-old lifeguards will not be tolerated. I was polite and cordial until staff escalated the situation.
Beyond the conflict from the wannabe cop high school staff, every pool in this place is like, three feet deep. Very lame for adults. Kids areas are fine. It also looked like it hadn't been dipped in a while, and the "shorelines" on the pools were pretty slippery from film. They may need to up the chlorine. Now excuse me, I...
Read moreNot only is it cheap to get in especially for smaller groups or the birthday party packages are amazing as well.its very clean ,all staff and most life guards are very friendly and nice.its perfect for all ages from under 1(not for too long if hot) all the way to 100.there is a little kid/toddler area for I'd say ages 1(with a parent) to 9 or 10 depending on child's height .it has slides and waterfalls bucket falls bucket and just a bit of water so they can crawl swim or just sit in the water .then they have a even younger kids area where it has soft non hot padding and like 6 or 7 different little sprinklers and water things .then it has the beach pool os what I call it cuz you can walk into it being really shallow for little ones and the further you go the deeper it gets. It's definitely one of my favorites. Then it also has a decent size whirl pool ,that's always the kids favorite when it's not crowded. Then it has the bigger pool one half to swim freely the other half is for laps only .there is also a rock climbing thing in that pool as well .then you have your 2 slides .1 is open 1 closed they are kot super long but worth the wait ,another one of my favorites and my top #1 favorite thing is the lazy river .it goes around the whole water park it has pretty waterfalls off to the side and just give a peaceful feeling just floating through .then they have 1 waterfall you go under (you can avoid by holding on to the sides and leaning over ) you can go as long as you want .the food is pretty decent prices and everything I've had so far has been amazing .if you want you could bring a cooler and ice in your car for drinks just because theirs are small for the price .so I always bring cold sodas and water in a cooler .other then that it's absolutely amazing .I've had 4 of my daughters birthday parties here...
