My family and I took a dear, out-of-state friend to visit your restaurant because of your overall Google review rating; we had not been to your restaurant before.
Praise 1.) UKRAFT, with thanks to Jessica and special thanks to Matt, took our dietary restrictions (plant-based eaters) and dietary allergies (severe allergy to seafood) seriously. We very much appreciated this!
2.) We particularly loved the Jerk Jackfruit, which we found to be very flavorful and unique! We thought that the Portobello was pretty good, but that it had a bit too much oil.
Requests 1.) Please add Tofu as a substitute for your breakfast meats.
2.) Please add a line at the bottom of your menu that makes clear your readiness to customize meat dishes to be meat-free dishes. :-) (I love that your food prep team is ready, behind the scenes, to add more vegetables to compensate for the lack of a meat...)
3.) Please add a dedicated, plant-based breakfast item (e.g., a vegan breakfast burrito), just as you have done for your lunch menu.
4.) I realize that the restaurant world is an ever busy, ever challenging business, but I wished there were cheeriness and warmth on the part of the Staff who I observed and interacted with. With the exception of the warmth of one Staff member, I felt that the Staff were indifferent as to whether or not we would return for a future visit. Staff that show gusto to their customers make those customers want to return...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would. I have never felt more unwanted in a restaurant before. My sister and I went there this morning at 8am. There were two employees at the counter working on tasks. Neither one greeted, or acknowledged us at all. We eventually ordered and took a seat. The seats are very uncomfortable. I could get over the seats, but then our food sat in the window for a minimum of 7 minutes. In the meantime, two men were packing take out orders. They actively had to reach OVER our food to grab the take out orders. There was only one other group in the seating area. We did get our coffee and food, but both were lukewarm, at best. My sister had the Avo N Lox Toast and they didn't put on the Lox. When we mentioned to someone that the Lox was missing, the other group spoke up saying they were also missing Lox. She said it was flavorful, but the toast sat so long with was soggy. I had the Spiced Apple French Toast. It had zero flavor at all. No one seemed to care at all about us there. For only having 2 groups there, for a total of 4 customers, they were way too focused on delivery and take out orders. I understand those orders are just as important, but to let our food sit in the window was a huge issue, considering there were two people packing to go orders. Overall it just seemed like no one cared...
