Enoch Pratt Free Library - Herring Run Branch — Attraction in Baltimore

Came into this branch to do some quiet studying. It never took place, because adults/ staff are loud, running off at the mouth about personal conversations. Front desk staff reclined in chair watching soap operas instead of telling these adults go be quiet. Shockingly the kids and teenagers are more polite than the loud, rude , inconsiderate adults. If anyone looking for a professional, quiet library, by pass this one. My hand is forced to drive all the way to the county, just to study quietly. Never again, not here, a waste of time and energy. Management need to come out those back offices to see what is really going on out front. Some libraries are just not what it used to be like. A calm, quiet, and resourceful place to come to. I'm completely turned off...

I am there with my sons...thought that it would be convenient because I don't live far...security guard is a jerk...he keep harassing my son because he was on the computers for older kids. The librarian gave him permission but would not uphold it. When I turned my back the security guard would sneak and say something to my 10 yr old...my son was scared and I am disgraced. Excellent place to print or quickly use the computer . The staff is very nice and knowledgeable, some of the people however who come to the library are very different. The use of cells phone is prohibited, but can be used in certain areas , I have experienced people having loud conversation as if you’re home !
