Experience & History About 20 yrs. ago, I would take my adopted step-son and some of his friends there for fishing. Their favorite spot! They loved fishing all night, but I'm sure you'd get in trouble nowadays for violating the closing time. Since then, I have read about the actual ferry there that used to bring people and goods from Anne Arundel County to Baltimore. At one point, there was a small trolley across a small wooden bridge. A fire and finally an accident of some sort resulted in the trolley being pitched into the river and a woman killed. Rain washes it down storm drains and the storm drains release into this area. STOP THROWING TRASH ON THE GROUND!! It pisses me off to have such a beautiful natural resource...
