Absolutely stunningly beautiful beach, easy quarter mile drive from the quiche Old Town Bandon. Lots of free parking on a public lot. Very nice bathrooms and faucets to rinse the sand from your feet. Ocean and Coquille River views can be achieved from your parked car. To access the beach, the walk is only a few feet. Driftwood logs, the North and South Jetties of the Coquille River, can be seen as well as the Coquille River Lighthouse that sits on the North Jetty. Offshore basalt monoliths are part of the Oregon Refuge System, and many seabirds can be seen on and near the islands, including Puffins! Bring a telescope or binoculars to best get sight of Puffins. Those who enjoy the parks pristine beach see Seals, walk their dogs, and collect gemstones from beds of gravel along the shoreline. The beach is a great spot to catch Red Tailed Surf Perch from, and there are baitshops in town with everything you may need to catch the perch available. The place is so beautiful it is reflected in even people's attitude here and I have met people here of all sorts and from many different places, all chipper and willing a kind word of greeting. The Pacific Ocean breakers give energy to the scene anytime, and the changing sky and weather make it seem a fresh new experience to me each time I visit. Highly recommended.

Crisp February air punctuated our visit to this area. Mid winter sunny spell gave us chance to get some salty, ocean air. It's one of the best places for getting close with your car and be able to walk on sandy beaches. Restroom was busy but functional. Better than some, but not worthy of world class scenery. No way to know when or if it will improve. Fog horn sounds from here are loud and you see people rowing in small boats near shore in a sheltered cove. Others play on the beach while a few others dig clams.

This last Saturday we went to the beach at the jetty and the weather was beautiful. Warm enough to have a wedding that we came across on our beach walk. One of the most scenic beaches on th he Oregon coast is from the South Jetty to Face Rock View Point. If you ever get the chance to visit this beach please do, it's been featured in many magazines as one of the top ten in the USA. I was lucky enough to have grown up here and spent my summers riding horses on this beach.

We Have Lived in. Bandon now going into Our 3rd year. We Love to Park at the Jetty when The King tides roll in to watch as they Crash up over the Jetty Banks, Many Times while Enjoying our lunches We get to See The Seals Swimming & Playing in & Out of the In coming Waves. When The Weather is Stormy & The King tides are Due, We Do not get to Go out onto the beach at Whiskey Run as the Waves Push in big logs & wood debris, the entrance so far every year becomes blocked until Someone either Curs up the logs, or Bulldozes The path open again! It’s Very hard to Be Patient as we Get Spoiled being able to Drive along the Whiskey Run Beach to find a nice spot to Let our Pups out for a Fun Bit of Frisbee Catching, Ball chasing, Beach combing… The Jetty Also Is Quite Known to be a Place where Beautiful Shiny Perfect Agates & Smooth Rocks, Unique shell bits, Very vibrant colored Assorted Beach rocks are sought after all year long. By locals &...

Standard sandy beach (photogenic lighthouse included). No dramatic cliffs like other beaches along the west coast but picturesque ocean views. There are two larger (not altogether large) parking areas; one as you leave the Bullard's camping area, the other at the end of the road at the lighthouse. Asking the road there are areas to park with quick access to the beach over the seawall. Driftwood is abundant, varied, and interesting. Rocks (mostly variations of petrified, jasperized, and agatized wood) are beautiful but can be illusive as the ocean will provide peeks at the multitude and then quickly bury them in sand on a fickle whim (Luna's pull has a hand in this play). Keep an eye open for areas off gravel and beauties barely noticeable in the sand. Great place for a walk. Dressing in layers is key in the Pacific Northwest as you never know when the sun might blaze or the ocean...
