I just called this hotel to book a room and was told over the phone by a man that there was one room available cause someone had cancelled. I said thank you so much. I was relieved as I had been driving for 8 hrs. Add stage 4 prostrate cancer to that, a nap was much needed. When I went in 5 min later the man walked up and without asking me who I was said, “we are booked. No rooms. Now he didn’t even know I was the one that just called and was told a room had just opened up. When I told him he still said we have no rooms. I feel like I was discriminated against because of the way I look. The cancer has left me looking of nothing but skin and bones and I had just had a fall in the dirt while I was at the local park driving my RC cars. PS: if you are a geocacher there are some in and...
Read moreBeautiful lighthouse and beach!
The lighthouse was very cool to see and there were plenty of information plaques on the inside to tell you the history. The lighthouse is now a small gift shop with stickers, shirts, postcards and other souvenir items. Also has some picnic blankets and wildlife/nature guides.
On the beach there were some tide pools with anemones. We had a great time looking around and walking in the water.
The beach was very dog friendly. The indoor part of the lighthouse did not allow dogs.
Also used the vault restrooms by the lighthouse. Vault toilet was clean and had both toilet paper and hand sanitizer.
Overall, highly recommend...
