I was completely fascinated by everything I saw. I have been a fan of Stephen King's for many many years. I have his full collection up to now. However I was stabbed and in the hospital for two years 2011 to 2013. When I came out my home my car my truck my trailer and everything in my house was gone. My husband's niece put him in a nursing home. He was much older than me. And then she got power of attorney over me and my husband and sold everything out from underneath us. I tried to get an attorney pro bono but they wouldn't take the case because it wasn't any money for them to get. Anyway your collection of every DVD and book up to present, THE INSTITUTE was taken from me. I didn't have the institute when all my stuff was taken but everything was gone and I can't afford to be placed in the oven. I have to live in the shelter now. Not a penny to my name and I'm very sick. I got chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia and tardive dyskinesia. No lawyer would take my case and no judge would hear it because my husband's nieces uncle and nephews ran this town. I must tell you that I am really enjoying the outsiders. It is great. I'm about to read The institute. I've just been so sick it takes everything out of me. I feel like I've lost everything when I lost your collection of DVDs and books. Your fan Car-Mart just like your book misery,...
Read moreSo freaking cool. An absolute must see for a Stephen king fan. Very very cool, and we were fortunate enough to have a local showing some of his friends while we were there and he told us all the little cool facts we didn’t know and gave us some photo op ideas that other people had done, and let us know other places we should check out nearby too. Stephen kings house has very cool gates and some statues on them, and a big wooden statue he added too in his lawn. Honestly was a little bit weird taking pictures in front of someone’s house (even though I know that’s what lots of people do) but I could’ve spent all day just gawking at it. It was so incredibly cool. I feel both jealous and sorry for all the neighbours having to deal with the tourists but also living next to this house would...
Read moreWe stopped here on our way to Bar Harbor. I mean why not? And guess who we saw when we stopped by? Stephen King himself. I mean, he didn't speak to us, rather he was pulling in to his driveway. He did pause and look at us as he entered his home. He was probably wondering who the stalkers were. LOL!
His home is in a typical residential area of older, stately homes. His house is the only one with a fence. And quite the decorative fence I might add. It's your typical wrought iron fence, except this one has wrought iron bats. The flying kind... it probably would have been cool had I tied a red balloon to the fence, but I didn't want to be too invasive.
I would say if you are in the area or passing through on your way to upstate Maine, it's worth a stop. Especially if you're a...
